1. Connect your router to your computer via ethernet cable
2. Now we will check the IP Address

Windows XP
1. Click "Start"
2. Click "Run"
3. Type "cmd" without quotes
4. On the black screen type "ipconfig" without quotes
5. Look for the default gateway, whatever IP Address you can see there is the default IP Address of your router

Windows Vista
1. Click "Pearl button" (Start button in XP)
2. Click "Start Search"
3. Type "cmd" without quotes
5. Right click the black icon up at the top of the window
6. Click on "Run as administrator"
7. Click on "Continue"
8. On the black screen type "ipconfig" without quotes
9. Look for the default gateway, whatever IP Address you can see there is the default IP Address of your router

If you're looking for the IP address of this router , By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.62. , and you can access the router setup page by typing that IP address on your address bar.

But if you really want to make sure about your router's IP address do these using a computer connected to that router.

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Command prompt it will open the black window and from there type IPCONFIG and hit enter just look for Default gateway that is your router's IP address.

If you asking for the default accessing IP address of router then connect the router with your PC ,run CMD and type ipconfig...see what is the default gateway address, that is the IP address of your router. type that in your browser and you can access the router page ...

No access to web based utilty
Seems like you need to verify that the web management interface is at the address your specified or that your PC is indeed wirelessly connected to the CWR-854.

The following suggestions assume you use Windows XP as your OS:
  1. You need to connect to the CWR-854 via a network cable (one end connected to your PC the other to a LAN port on the CWR-854) initially.
  2. You can try to access the web management interface at the IP address you expect, i.e. 192.168.1.1 or you can verify the IP address by finding the Default Gateway your PC is issued by the CWR-854 from:
  • Right clicking on the tray icon of the network connection, choose "Status" then click on the "Support" tab to see the Default Gateway.
  • OR click on "Start" then "Run...", type "cmd" then type "ipconfig" and read the Default Gateway value under the section for the "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection".
Use the Default Gateway value as the new address to use for the web based utility if it differs from what you expected.

Type in the address of your router - you say that is set to192.168.1.254 and you will see the config page( after logging in ) for your router. This is more usually 192.168.1.1 though .

Cnet CWR-854 does not work
You may be advised to use an RJ45 LAN cable to try the following, then use the wireless connection when all ais up and running. The default Login ID and Password is ?root? with password ?1234?. This Wireless Access Point?s default IP address is 192.168.1.253, You can reset this Wireless Access Point back to its default settings by clicking on Reset button, and then press OK button to confirm your decision. Note: you can also hold down the reset button on this Wireless Access Point?s panel for more than 10 seconds to reset its default settings back to factory default. If the reset doesnt work turn off router then on again first, but if the reset doesnt work, the router may need to be replaced.
