If it will not turn off on the Timed Dry cycle the failure is in the timer. The timer is the component behind the large knob on the console. If you supply me with the full model number from the front panel inside the door, I can get you a part number and approximate price of the part.
send model number, an even heat board would cause this,or you can unplug dryer and open console on top and see if the even heat board is in there, check it for burn marks, there should be a tech sheet in the console that will help you out but put it back,if you have to call someone in to work on your dryer and the tech sheet is gone they might not be able to help you, there is a relay part 3405281 could be in there, there are actually two of them, there is a heat relay and a motor relay, you can change them out as they are the same part and see if motor stays running,if so change out the motor relay, but i need model number to look up your dryer
can you hear the motor running, if so then more than likely the belt broke, you need to unplug it ,remove the front cover, then top cover, then remove drum and you can start to restring the new belt
The belt can be replaced as follows. 1 remove top and front of dryer shell 2 belt goes around drum around motor pully then under tentioner wheel 3 replace front and top of dryer (top pops off use a slotted screw driver) Thanx for using Fixya Please take your time to rate me
Hi, first thing I need to know is, does the motor run but no tumbling? If the motor runs and this is the model with the lint screen on the top, follow these instructions:
Normal
0
UNPLUG the dryer. This model you need to remove the two
screws under the lint screen. Now use a flat blade screw drive and insert it in
the gap between the top and the front panel and pry the top up. Now locate and
remove the screws on the inside of the front panel in upper corners. The front
should lift off.
There should be instructions that came with the belt. I will
try and explain how this goes on. The idler pulley fits in a slot right in
front of the motor. Put the belt over the drum with ribs touching drum. Now,
thread the belt through the idler pulley wheel and bracket and set the belt on
the motor pulley. The ribs should rest in the grooves on the motor pulley. Reverse the process to put the dryer together. If this is not the model with the lint screen on top, please let me know.
I hope this helps you. If I can assist you further, please
let me know. Please rate me performance so that others as well as myself will
know how I am doing.
