Interesting question as im interested in this camera.
Ive had a look around and it seems you have no front lens thread on this camera so making it difficult to fix an off the shelf filter.

However this can be adapted,some help here http://forums.steves-digicams.com/nikon/155742-filter-kit-p90-2.html

There is another option, this is by using Cokin shoe holder http://tinyurl.com/yzpnf7d

You should be able to obtain genuine Nikon batteries via Ebay. Never heard of a battery swelling through overcharging - was it a Nikon representative who told you ?

Look on the fron of the lens, it should say something like Auto Nikkor 24-50 f3.5/5.6 ( or similar) that is the mamximum aperture at different zoom levels. besides that it may say something like 37mm either on side of lens near front or on front itself. If you have the lens cap, look inside the lens cap, the size is usually marked there and your camera uses the same size screww on filters.

Hello, the nikon P90 is a great buy for photography enthusiasts and this make and model is in between point and shoot and DSLR when it comes to features. The lense retracts up to 24x great for taking macro shots and very user friendly. No known issues so far with this model and a great starter kit when you decide to upgrade DSLR.

You need an MH-61 charger. You can get one from your local authorized Nikon reseller, or online at http://www.nikonmall.com

If you're willing to take a chance on the third-party product, you can get one for about a third the price at http://www.overstock.com

Nikon Coolpix P5100 settings

Olympus cameras have an "all reset" function that can be toggled on or off in the menu. If "on", all settings are restored to default on boot up, if "off" then the last setting are kept on boot up. If the settings are supposed to be kept be design,but are not, then the capacitor or small battery on the main board needs to be replaced. Not user replaceable, usually soldered on or socketed but no simple access.
