It works very well as a printer or o photocopying machine, but not at all as a scanner. It gives message "Unexpected internal error occured". And it tells me to restart the programm, reboot the pc or reinstall photo and imaging software.
It started after a unistallation and reinstallation of the programms.
Might be scanner drivers corrupted, Reinstall the Scanner drivers again. Most probably this will work greatly You can try this no (877-690-9305) for the solution. Support For Hp Printer

Please clarify what program you are using when this error message accures. It seems like it's possably just a software problem, so what I would recommend is to check your event log to see what errors it is logging. The answer to your problem may reside in there.

First thing to do is try to check if your windows XP is a 32 or a 64-bit. You can do this by right clicking the mouse on My Computer icon and then left click on properties. Now try to load the right and updated driver. If it still won't work. Go to Control Panel>administrative tools>services>scroll down and look for WIA ( Windows Image Acquisition). when you double click on it you should see it it is running, stopped, make sure that it is started. If still won't work try using other application like paint.
