I need a manual for a Tradesman 2 speed 16" bench scroll saw, model 8355 mfg. l992. I especially need to know how to clean and oil the motor. Thank you.

You will need a multimeter to check the switch and cabling to the socket, and also check if the new bulb is good.

REPLACING THE BULB
1. Use only a 10 watt maximum, candelabra base bulb.
Turn the light switch off and unplug the saw.
2. Remove old bulb. Place new bulb into socket

First you might try this link Delta 40 560 Type II Instruction Manual for a free download. I think there may be others.
Though not an instruction manual, this website Delta 40 560 Type 2 16 34 Scroll Saw Parts gives exploded diagrams of the saw.
Finally have a look at the Delta website http://www.deltamachinery.com/ and see if you can find a download there or ask for one.

I am having the same problem as you are

Unfortunately it looks like you'll have to order it from Sears. And I don't know what the difference is between the 2 listed.

Go to www.searspartsdirect.com and search by model number.

Go to Dremel.com or call toll free1-800-437-3635 and tech service might be able to get you a schematic and wiring diagram. It does sound as though the switch is either wired incorrectly or put in upside down. If I have helped you on this would you please take the time to rate me accordingly and Thank you

Hi Jim, See you have been looking for awhile and understandably so. I don't have a manual and don't know anyone that does. Tradesman tools are manufactured by Rexon Corp. and they have a US office.
