I have replaced the drain bellow about three times - it's an accordian-looking rubber tube about 2" in diameter or so that fails about every year or year and a half in one of the creases of the bellow. I swear there's a class action suit there. It has only a few connection points so easy to replace. I can't remember which way you're supposed to NOT turn the unit over - check the owner's book or talk to a service rep.

Frigidaire washing machine model ATF6700FS2. Had it in to a repair place to replace the bellows. The bellows in not centered. I don't know if that would impact this problem. I try to start the machine...

Hello Kerri, thank you for your inquiry!

First, if the bellows is not centered it is highly recommended to get that repair. If you are getting an error code E23, it usually means one of three things: your drain pump relay has failed, a wire may be disconnected from the pump, or your main control board needs replacing. One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Best regards!

Not spinning to let out water

Hi

If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it.

Intermittent leak at front. Is there a drain hole at the bottom of the "bellow?"

Appears that the bellows has perished causing a crack which is letting water through.
They are reasonably easy to replace

Beko sma 510 washing machine clothes smell when cycle is finished

The first thing to do is to CHECK IN AND AROUND THE RUBBER DOOR BOOT (called a bellow) for small articles of clothing (like socks and underwear) that may have gotten lodged in behind the rubber. Pull the rubber back where it meets the wash tub and look behind it. It is common for small items to get stuck here, become forgotten and start to mildew. You should check this area after each wash and clean it periodically to get rid of the formation of soap scum, mold, and mildew. HINT: When you get ready to wash a load of towels, take a dirty towel and clean the door boot thoroughly (including the areas behind the rubber). Immediately place the towel in the wash and run it on a sanitary cycle. This way you eliminate the need for cleaning rags.

PERIODICALLY RUN THE WASHER ON A CLEANING CYCLE. Place the washer on the hottest setting you have (usually a Sanitary cycle) with nothing but bleach in the wash tub. Some newer models actually have a "Clean Cycle" available now just for this purpose. This helps keep the wash tub, drain lines and pump sanitized.

CHECK AND CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER. Accumulations of debris in the drain pump filter can also cause odors. HINT: If you own a shop vac, pull the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line. This will drain any residual water left in the tub, pump and drain lines BEFORE you remove the drain pump cover. This will prevent a messy clean up later.

LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN IF POSSIBLE. When not in use, leave the door open to allow the tub to air out and to keep mold and mildew from forming on the door bellow. I know this may not be desirable in some households with small children. If too much mildew forms on the rubber and it cannot be removed, replacement of the bellow may be required.

NOTE: This problem is common with front loader style washing machines. The doors on these machines have an air tight/water tight seal that is great for sealing the washer during the wash cycle, but can be terrible for collecting small garments and for not allowing the tub to properly air out when not in use. Following these simple preventive measures can go a long way towards preventing harmful mold and mildew, and towards extending the life of the door bellow and pump.

Replace the bellow in my front loader whirlpool washing machine

Hello. You don't need any special tools to do this. Feel around the edge of the bellows seal until you find a spring in the groove behind the face of the seal. Using a small screwdriver, lever it over the edge of the seal, and slowly work the ring over the seal face. Peel the seal off of the mounting flange, and roll it inside the drum. Remove the front of the washer, and remove the spring on the inner part of the seal. Replace the seal, making sure that it is oriented in the same manner as the one you took off. Reassemble in the reverse order. There are a number of very good videos on YouTube. Type in "washing machine repair" and you'll find different chapters in what amounts to a series on repair.....good stuff.

LG WM2355C water leaking under machine after washing finished.

HI, you will want to Inspect the water supply connections. this is a good spot to check first. there may be a loose connection here, causing the leakage. Next, Inspect the drain hose. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected to the drain pump. replace if needed. Last. Inspect outer tub/basket for cracks or corrosion.

You will find the issue in one or all of the above stated check points.

Kenmore Elite Front Load Washer

The rubber boot is called the "door bellow". The following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385210-replacing_door_bellow_kenmore_elite

If the bellow is not ripped or torn, you probably will NOT have to replace it. If the front bellow clamp (wire hoop) is the only thing that came loose, you will need to reseat the bellow around the door frame opening and reinsert the bellow clamp. The link explains this in Step 12 (I suggest you use a second set of hands to assist you). Now...if the bellow is torn, or if the clamp is damaged, you will need replacment parts. Let me know if you require additional assistance. I hope this helps you.
