1. Turn off your phone when it's not in use. If you're not using your Verizon Wireless Razr, then shut it off. Your battery will last much longer if you regularly do this. 2. Charge your phone less. If you charge your Razr nightly, then your cell phone battery won't last long. Try to charge your phone only a few times a week to extend the battery life. 3. Keep your Bluetooth turned off when you're not using it. Applications, like Bluetooth, are notorious for sucking the power from a cell phone battery. 4. Protect your Razr from extreme temperatures. Your cell phone battery lasts longer if kept at room temperature. 5. Discharge the Razr fully. Before you charge your phone, let it completely die. You can extend the life of the battery by regularly discharging and then fully charging it. 6. Leave the battery in the phone. Keep the Razr battery dry and free of dirt to prolong its life.
I kept getting the "unable to charge" message on my RAZR. I was using a
blackberry charger which looks the same and I was able to use previously (I
thought). I found my RAZR charger and it worked fine
Let it charge for a good 6 hours before reaching any conclusions.
If it does not work for real, you are stuck since you are now without a charger and unable to identify if it is the phone itself. sorry to say this. i think you will have to buy another charger, the fact that it fits another phone should not be a problem. Is it making full contact with your phone when plugged in? that connection there might be the problem.
Check the contacts between phone and battery,
if necessary align or clean. Are
you using original Motorola charger? This solved my problem; I was trying to
charge it with one of those "universal" chargers. Hope this helps!
Clean charging port, remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.
Your charger is faulty. If your phone is able to charge off of other sources (computer, car charger, another wall charger) Then, the charger needs to be replaced. Some mobile companies have a 90 warranty on accessories like the charger and battery. Then the mobile manufacture (Motorola) has a 1 year warranty on the charge and battery. I would check on that, and get those replaced.
It's really sad that u r on a boat because i suggest u may need to get a desk top charger for your phone. Most times these unable to charge problems comes mostly from water damage or your phone been plugged in to the wrong voltage.
