I could not use the wireless system on my CF 50 after restoring the restore their restore disk. Come to find out they don't make my wireless board. My CF 50 is about at least 5yrs old. The Tech I talked to at Panasonic directed me to the discontinued drivers. I'm happily using my cf 50 wireless network. I also increased the memory to 1 meg, system runs faster.

You need to download the driver in order to get it to work. Suggestions are using the ethernet connection if possible, or by whatever other means you used to post this message and download the driver for the wireless network card. If you used a secondary computer to download the driver, use a jump-drive/pen drive/thumb drive/memory card/etc, to transfer to this computer.

Panasonic CF 50 battery light flashing red light

A "Red" Flashing Battery Light on ALL
Panasonic Toughbook Models means
that the battery is no longer functional
and can no longer hold a charge properly.

If you really require a battery then you
may be able to order a replacement
battery from the Panasonic Parts Dept.

An original battery cost might exceed the
value of an old CF50 so be aware and
take note.

It is possible to completely remove the
battery pack and use the CF50 without
a functional battery pack with no problems.

Good Luck

Panasonic Toughbook 51 modem error no dail tone

HI,

The problem can be internally. But you can try a system restore first. But make sure you take a backup and then do this.Because it will erase all the data.

To do a sys. restore go to START>ALL ACCESSORIES>PROGRAMS>SYSTEM TOOLS>SYSTEM RESTORE

Goodluck.

Can't turn on "wireless capability"

You may try to perform System Restore . Press and hold the Windows key and press 'R' key. This will open the run window -> Type 'rstrui' without the parenthesis, click on 'Ok' -> This will open the System Restore window. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your computer to an earlier date, choose a date when the WIFI was working well

I lost my internet connection. I use wireless I pick up from a neighbor I've tried system restore it didn't work. I've been without internet for 3 days now I've also tried troubleshooting any ideas

What do you mean by Lost your Internet Connection? Are you using the Internal Modem. If Yes then you can still ask your ISP to provide the connection and you can use that.

I think restore will not work for this, In this case you need to setup it again.

Can't get wireless to work on laptop

You may use the System restore utility on windows by going to all programs then Accessories... Open system Tools and then System Restore. You may resotre your system to an earlier time, time when you are still able to connect to your router wirelessly.

OS wont recognize wireless modem

This happen regularly on the older Toughbooks. Find an XP or Win2000 modem driver for the 27 or 72 at Panasonic's support site or driverguide.com and it should work just fine. It will allow the machine (XP) to recognize the modem and install the drivers.spellcheck.gif

Belkin wireless router installation with a laptop that has an internal modem

Depending on the operating system that you are running, and if you have the appropriate wireless cards, you should be able to do this either with or without the modem. If you have the modem connected to one computer, and wireless cards on both computers, then your best option would be to just connect directly from one computer to the next. If you can tell me the answers to these few questions, I can help you get on the right path.

What operating system are you running? Windows XP? Vista? Macintosh?

Do both of your computers have wireless network cards? If not, then which computers have the wireless network, and which computer has the modem?
