Roland juno-d, keys are either too loud or too

I have a roland juno-d and I have taken it apart and cleaned the rubber contacts connected to the keyboard. I DID NOT take off the rubber contacts and clean underneath. Is that what I need to do?

Normally you have to clean the conductive rubber "pills" AND the circuit board traces they get pressed down on.

USE ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol on Q-Tips to do the cleaning and be gentle.

Use of other product like deoxit and other contact cleaners will wreck the contact material.

Did you clean these contacts with ONLY isoprophyl 99% alcohol and Qtips? If you used another product you may have spoiled the contacts. Also did you clean the circuit board where they contact with the same product?

If you used another cleaner, best to redo your work... quickly... Contact cleaners such as Deoxit and Blue shower destroy this type contact.

SOME OF THE KEYS ARE NOT GIVING ME SOUND

The key contacts have become contaminated. Disaasemble and find the contacts under silicone rubber domes. They are typically black conductive rubber pills, two per key. Clean them and the circuit traces they press against under them with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q Tips GENTLY. Then reassemble and test operation.

Some keys on my roland juno d wont sound. How do i fix this problem? Please help.

The key contacts need to be cleaned. They are usually conductive rubber pills in silicone domes that get pressed onto circuitboard traces by the keys. Disassemble to get at the contacts. clean ONLY with 99% isoprophyl alocohol and Q tips. Clean both the pills AND the circuit traces they contact.

Be very careful of cables when opening the unit. Document where all the screws go and their length and threads.

I wish to know how to open a Roland JUNO-D synth to access the little rubber strips with the key contacts; I have the typical key-not-sounding problem.

Usually there are a number of screws from the bottom to remove. SOmetimes they hide some under a label or rubber feet. The top should remove and pone must be careful of the cables from teh top to the base of the unit.

Keep track of where screws go as often they have different length and using the wrong length when re-assmbling caan cause trouble.

Answer:
Before i give you the right solution, i have to say that i have posted the answer to FIX the problem of all of the contact problems, people writing in how many of their keys are not working. And the post that they are showing is one that says to clean the contacts. That will not work.
Ok,
the answer.....
You can purchase a kit called Rubber contact kit here: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/20-3890&cid=prodCrossSell
or
Key contact Kit:
http://www.oaktreeent.com/Roland_Keyboard_Parts_Units.htm

These kit are made to re-coat the contacts on the keys. It will bring your board back to brand new condition and last as long if not longer than the original coating.
Also can be used for any rubber contacts like remotes or game controllers. etc.
This will work and i did mine after numerous times of taking the keys off and cleaning them.
I hope this gets out to all of you that are having the same problem.
Good luck

No sound when hitting some keys

Your key contacts are dirty. Disassemble and clean both the circuit traces and the conductive rubber pills with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol and QTips.

The contaacts are in pais which allows for measuring key velocity. When contacts are dirty, this affects the loudness.

Couple of keys dont respond well and I tried cleaning pad under keys

The conductive rubber pill contacts AND the traces oin the circuit board should be cleaned with 99% isoprophyl alcohol, nothing else. Use a Q-Tip moistened with the alcohol.

It's a Roland HP-7e digital piano about three years old.

You may need to clean the contacts which are usually conductive rubber. I explained stuff for another Roland problem with two keys that were intermittent. I have an EP-7 that I had to do the cleaning of the key contacts. Use 91 or 99 % Isoprophyl alcohol to clean BOTH the conductive "pill" (Black under silicone rubber domes) AND the traces on the board where they press. Clean gently as the traces have a hard black coating.
