This set has aside from the recessed front reset two more done with the Mitsubishi remote.
The soft reset "should" be with set on Menu, 1,2,3, enter
The hard reset requires a 4 digit number code and is based on model number and also done with the Mitsubishi remote--try to see if soft reset works at all on this model.
Unplug from the wall and hit the power button on the tv. The light may come on dim then fade out or you hear a click. This means it has built in surge protection. Plug it back into the wall and you should be good to go if nothing burnt up.
The blinking green lite that wont go off wont allow the tv to come on. We tried resetting the tv it doesn't work Also the tv has been off for days have to unplug from wall for couple days then replug and reset. It still doesn't work. Please help.
Try leaving the TV unpugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself. If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route. If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
Has there been a power surge meanwhile? If so, try unplugging the power cord, press the power button, reconnect power and try booting. Sometimes works.
Need to remove the Input module circuit box from the bottom of the center and wait for few minutes before putting it back.
This will reset the system from this persistant power off problem.
Best way to prevent it from happening again is to manually switch of the power switch before doing any powering off and on. Most commonly happens during a power failure and power coming back on with the switch in the on position.
as per your statement
there is a loose contact in power supply section of your tv.
it is 1oo% sure that allthe parts are ok as
tv runs ok when it comes on.
but you will have to call tech. as without knowing technology it is dangerous to open tv due to high voltage.
