Even though my RICOH Aficio 1013 appears to be an ALL-IN-ONE, the ONLY function it now porforms that of a copier. What components do I need to add or install to get to function as a printer, scanner, & fax?

It would be cheaper to find a 1013spf meaning scan,print,fax. Finding all of the boards, wiring harness, ROM chips and control panel buttons needed to convert your machine would be pricy. Then you would need a service tech to install everything as well. You can find the "spf" versions used for less than $1,000 and you could get around $500 for yours.

Inside the toner feed mechanism there is little plastic fins that tend to break off. You will probably have to replace the hopper unit (The unit that the toner tube sits in) or in that unit where the tube opening sites you can either replace the feed chuck or if your handy maybe repair the feed fins. The chuck part pops out with plastic tabs.

Ricoh Aficio 1232C rpcs When I try to print the red light appears on the printer saying 'load by pass tray' even though I have selected Auto tray. Normally the machine prints fine.

when you selected auto tray was that in the driver or microsoft settings ? microsoft settings will overide the copier settings driver. look under file then page setup to see what it is set for.

Open the right door is there an image on the drum? (if not) It sounds though that your fuser has toner build up on it and is at end of life. These fusers are harder than most to rebuild so maybe a service call? -Carl

Am having ricoh 1013 photocopier, and its giving an error message that "functional error,switch off mainpower and on"!

Low fusing temperature. Either the thermistor is bad or power supply board (unlikely). Service code can only be reset in service mode by a technician after problem is fixed

Ok, its a firmware bug, but you should be able to reset it. Press clear modes, 1, 0, 7, and press and hold clear/stop. Press 1 for copy sp. Scroll down to 7, (data log) press 7. scroll to 7807, and reset it. exit all the way out, and recycle the power.
