Indesit WIE 147 - Display 'F-03' fault

this usually happens when the water pump or the hoses are clogged and it cannot drain, it stops there and does nothing

the pressure switch is jammed on empty. this could be either a faulty pressure switch, blocked pressure hose (pull off small hose and blow down to clear any debris) or a blocked sump hose ( big black hose at the bottom of appliance)

I think you have to fill it with water first. My machine won't work unless the previous cycle has a chance to complete. i.e., it has to fill with water before the wash cycle starts, or it has to have water before it rinses/spins dry.

It really does sound like you have a blockage somewhere even if you cant feel it. You may need to remove the pump and the pipes to be certain. Try laying the drain pipe on floor level. If it drains then there is definately something in there that needs to be removed. Let me know if you need any more help.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or back feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET valve to open up and allow water to flow into. If this does not happen then the voltage at the inlet valve must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect as IT SEEMS THAT THE INLET AND THE OULET IS OPEN AND SO ALL WATER DRAINS OFF AS IT COMES IN.

So please check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

F12 indicates a communication error between boards.
Check all connections to the boards.

on the bottom of the machine there is a panel made of plastic that may be removed to expose the waste filter.open the waste filter and check that the waste pump is not blocked as in the initial start up the pump is run if there is a problem with the pump the machine will not advance.
