From where I can find JVC GR-D290 "LCD RIBBON".... My camera is perfectly working for last 4 years. But now lcd is not working because of damaged ribbon. Any suggestions?

i sounds like your LCD ribbon cable is broken, or may be just detached partialy...

It could one of a few problems:

1. The viewfinder is pulled out and "PRIORITY" is set to "FINDER".

Push the viewfinder back in or set "PRIORITY" to "LCD".

2. The LCD monitor's brightness setting is too dark.

Adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor.

3. If the monitor is tilted upward 180 degrees, open the monitor fully.

Open and close it a few times. Maybe tap the side a little bit as the lens cap switch may be sticking.

If you get a blank LCD, dimly lightened by a whitish back light, then the LCD display eis either faulty, badly connected, or the ribbon connector to LCD is defective.
The camera must be taken apart, ribbon cable tested, and eventually replaced and adjusted.
If all contacts on ribbon cable return continuity (cable is fine), then LCD is faulty, and must be replaced.
Althought the job is not too difficult, an user without experience may damage the camera in attempting this repair.
My first suggestion is always taking the unit to a camera shop.

In the case no REEL FG is produced for 4 sec-onds
or more in the capstan rotation mode af-ter
loading was complete, the mechanism mode
is shifted to STOP with the pinch roller set off.

However, no REEL EMG is detected in the
SLOW/STILL mode.
1. The idler gear does not engage with the reel disk well.

having no tape inside.
6. The tape slackens and no pulse is produced until the
slack is taken up and the tape comes into the normal

There should be a error code on the lcd unit start with E-

if you live in very cold region, the mist or moisture give you this problem, using a hair dryer will solve this problem.

No spare and no repair now you have opened it. Water damage is likely to have done more than you describe any way.
