It could be grease that has strated to leak out of the bearings try replaceing hoses 1st if it grease after a heavy load that is when most strain would be put on t bearings thus forceing grease out also if grease the machine will start to get noisey a sure sign of bearing troubles

Small brown particles are found in filter and also what appeaars to be small grease stains on clothing what could be the problem?

The brown stains are likely coming from the felt drum seal. The OEM adhesive is tar based - and after time and use - breaks down.

You'll need a new felt seal - and the adhesive that is used should be silicone based... eliminating the brown streaks.

if it's appearing on whites mainly (hot cycle)...
This is from not enough HOT loads.

Fatty deposits gather between the basket and tub during COLD washes.

Then they are being released in large numbers when you do your whites on HOT.

It is recommended to do 1 HOT load per week.

Do an empty load with some degreaser added (like Goo-Gone) on the fullest/hottest setting you have.

I am getting stains on my dark clothes that look like oil stains.

Check that the dispenser is clean, it may be gunged up with black gunge, use soda crystals and put machine on hottest wash. If all is clean it could be down to seal gone in drum letting grease into system. Good luck, let me know how it goes.

Washer is leaving grease all over my clothes

I have this problem on my front loading washer too, but only when washing white clothes. I have just read that perhaps the inlet hose is disintegrating from the hot water being too hot. The hose disintergration can cause black greasy stains on the clothes. I am going to check out the inlet hose when I get home. Hopefully this is the problem... I am sure a new inlet hose is a lot cheaper than a new transmission or new bearings. BTW, my washer in only 18 months old.

Dark grease stains on the cloths after drying

Most likely a bearing failure, a seal that retains grease has given up and is spewing into the drum through a shaft opening of some kind.

If you are positive there is no grease in some of the clothes, or someone is putting it in the drum, then a seal has failed, and now that the grease is coming out, the bearing it is was supposed to lubricate is now low, and will fail prematurely, you need a service call and soon.

Clear greasy stains appearing on clothes from brand new LG front loading washer

the grease i'm sure would be coming from the machine. look at the water solenoids, detergent dispenser, dispenser solenoids, everything with rubber hoses.

they do put a clear grease just to insert the hose easier in the plant. and if it was not removed during QC, then it would come out now as you uses it.

tnx 4 using fixya,

DARK CLOTHES END UP WITH BLEACH DOT STAINS

SOME BLEACH DISPENSERS USE COLD WATER TO FLUSH THE BLEACH FROM THE CUP. CHECK THE COLD WATER FOR GOOD PRESSURE. IF THERE ISN'T GOOD PRESSURE, REMOVE THE COLD WATER HOSE FROM THE MACHINE AND CHECK THE SCREEN INSIDE THE VALVE WHERE YOU REMOVED THE HOSE. PUT THE END OF THE HOSE IN THE TUB AND TURN IT ON. CHECK FOR GOOD PRESSURE. CLEAN THE SCREEN AND RECHECK THE WATER PRESSURE AFTER REINSTALLING THE HOSE AND TURNING ON THE WATER. IF YOU STIL HAVE POOR PRESSURE REPLACE THE VALVE.
