No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

1080HD Diamond Series 65inch rear projection 2001 Model

I am not getting a picture or audio from dvd player connected via component input #1 with audio input L & R via rca cables.

I am getting sound from the dvd play via the marantz surround sound system but no sound from TV speakers.

The last time it worked was right before I hooked up a Nintendo Wi to the inputs several weeks ago. I have checked to make sure the settings on the TV setup screen are correct.

The component 2 input video for the XBOX is not working either but the sound is working thru surround sound system but not TV speakers.

TV Inputs are as follows:
Ant-A Off
Ant-B On
DTV YPrPb(Charter Moxi DVR Box)
Component-1 On (DVD) Not working
Component-2 On (XBox 360) Not working
STB Off
VGA Off
Input-1 On (Cable) working
Input-2 On (VCR) working

I bought a Sharp Aquos Blue-Ray player and hooked it up to the component 1 but had no picture. I brought the dvd upconvert player i had in my son's room and plugged the same cables to the upconvert and the picture and sound came on. Unplugged the upconvert and tried switching the cables around but got nothing.

not picture from DVD or Play station and tried to plug play station in front of tv at input 4. Sound but no picture. can't remember if problem started when HDcable box was worked on recently. Time warner disconnected my loop conection and antA connection?? Seems like input 4 would still work. Mitsibushi tech asked me to hook the DVD into the DTV input but still no picture. Hooked cable back up and picture.

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

Mitsubishi rear projection tv, model WS-48311 - Lost audio after moving tv and re-hooking up cables. How do I get it back?

It sounds like this TV is being used only for the PS3. We'll need to troubleshoot this through a process of elimination.

If you're using Component Input 1 and audio, try using Component Input 2 and audio instead. If this set of inputs provides working audio and video - you can stop. Or, try going back to Input 1 once more. If Input 1 now works - you may have simply made a better connection. If it doesn't - then there's probably an issue with input 1 on the TV.

If moving to Input 2 above still didn't solve the problem, you should try using a different set of audio cables between the HDFury and the TV. If it now works, the original audio cables are faulty.

You can check the HDfury setup on another HDTV with component inputs with it connected to an HDMI cable. if the HDFury wors, you know the device and all the cables work. If you do this test and it works with your PS3, then you know that the PS3 is providing good video and audio signals via HDMI. If the problem follows the PS3 - then it's the PS3 at fault. If everything works perfectly on the second TV, then there is some issue with the audio amplifier / inputs / speakers of the Mitsu TV. You could get a cheapo stereo amp and speakers - or a set of computer speakers for audio - it all depends on how much you want to spend for sound.

Good lcuk!

Hook up sony blu ray

You should be able to hook it up with a component video cable. A component video cable is a cable that has 5 color coded RCA style ends that are Green/Blue/Red/White/Red. The Green, Blue and one of the Reds is for the video and delivers the signals needed to produce the HD picture and the White and the other Red is for the audio to provide you with stereo sound.

The Video cords will plug into the section labeled component video facing up and down and the audio will plug into the side by side section. So if you plug into Component input 2 then you would plug in the audio into the audio section of input 2.

If you have a separate surround sound system you can connect one of two ways.
1. Plug a separate Audio (red/white) cable from the Blu Ray to an available input on the surround sound.

or

2. Plug all inputs into the TV (as noted above) and then plug a separate Audio (red/white) cable from the tv labeled "Audio Out" to an available input on the surround sound system.

HD52G887 no sound

Hmm.. If you have your television hooked up via component connection.. you may be forgetting the audio cable. This is a very easy mistake to make while component cables usually dont come with audio or optical audio cables.

No picture when cables connected

Go into menu on cable remote and open up 480p,480i,720 and 1080 . I think on some of those 1080HD only works on one of the two component inputs. The other is only rated for 720. Usually it has this info on set at input. Hope these suggestions are helpful.

Setting up receive set top box and tv for surround sound

Plug the TV to an open channel on your receiver via this output:
*Rear, 1 x Digital audio output (coaxial) ( TOSLINK )
This will look like a single RCA output plug.
Set that input channel on your receiver to some sort of virtual surround mode because it doesn't look like your HDTV has a decoder in it (meaning it will come out stereo and the receiver will have to fake it).
Turn the volume all the way down on the TV and use the receiver to control TV volume just as you do with DVDs.

*Substitute this with the digital audio output on your set top box if you are sending video only to the TV from the set top box (component, DVI or s-video connections). So video goes to the TV, audio to the receiver.

RCA D52W15 52 in. Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

The component connections are usually video only and the audio goes to separate connectors set aside for that input. Check your manual to make sure you have all the connections made.
