Hi,
i've had my All in one LG WD-3243RHD Front Load for almost 2 years, and one day i come home my clothes are soaked. I drain the washer/dryer and run the load again, after it fills with water, it starts to make a grinding, crackling noise!! and after awhile it cuts off and there still water in the washer.
any thoughts?
Fixed!
"LE" code Stator/Motor Error.
It was a simple fix and only cost $17.68 at PartStore.com no affiliation.

Here is the Service Manual

Bonus, it actually completes a wash cycle and does not stick at 6 minutes, drying forever.
Freakin service tech stated it was the Power Control Board, IDIOT!
While I was in there, I cleaned out the heater blower assembly and sensors. They were full of caked on lint and the sensors had debris all over them.
Also cleaned out all the lint and debris around the rubber seal, this will eliminate those annoying mildew oders.
Hope this helps someone, Happy New Year!
I had the same issue.
My unit displayed error code OE.
Maybe my situation might solve your issues.
OE is the code for unit will not drain.
The crackling noise was a faulty drain pump.
Here's what I did.
Manually drain the unit.
Using the LG service manual, dissassembled the LG washer/dryer unit in the following order:
1) control panel
2) top lid
3) front plate (washer door)
4) drain pump.
inspected drain pump and found one damaged.
ordered parts from http://www.mcmelectronics.com/
Replaced pump - all is working.
Hope this helps!
Could be drum bearings. or crackling noise can be caused by motor brushes being worn out
