Uniden UBC92xlt I seem to have locked all my stations, have tried following the instructions to unlock but not working, also will not scan...

did you get the charging base with the hand set
is it a charging base or a base station base
if it is just a charging base , follow the instructions as how to get the base station to recognize the next phone
if it is a base station, probably won't work as you will have 2 base stations trying to work and that will create conflicts
talk with a telephone technician to see what can be done

Remove the battery for a hour. Put the battery back in. Press down at the same time and hold the #2 and #9 key when you switch it on - that will do a factory reset on almost all Uniden scanners. Then release, push manual, program, enter frequency of the local weather station and you should hear it.

Not sure if yours works the same as mine, but simply pressing the number button of the bank you've switched off will put it back into the scan again. So if you a dash or "*" instead of say bank #6, simply press the '6' button while it's scanning and it will be back in the scan. At least that's how my old one worked. This is a digital trunk, you wont be able to pick these up on the bc780, it only does analog trunk systems. Some trunks use mixed analog/digital, if you can figure out which ID's are using digital you can lock them out. Even worse is the fact that the ID's you lock out are probably the ones that you are trying to monitor :(
