don't know about exact temperatures but food is still frozen. The display panel is just flickering on both fridge and freezer panel and there is a clicking sound. It also clicks loudly when dispensing water and the water light flicks.
By reading this site it seems this is a common problem and need 2 panels replacing I think or does anyone have another solution??don't know about exact temperatures but food is still frozen. I have a similar problem of constant clicking and flashing of the display and the fridge and freezer both work fine while this is going on. Any suggestions? from other forum sites it appears to be a pc board problem (and there are 2 pcb's one in the front and rear??) can anyone confirm this?I have a similar problem of constant clicking and flashing of the display and the fridge and freezer both work fine while this is going on. Exactly as previous Fridge alarm goes off and display shows - - clicking noise when dispensing ice or water. I can reset by opening door closing and resetting but this only lasts a short time Exactly as previous Fridge alarm goes off and display shows - - clicking noise when dispensing ice or water. If you look on e-bay, there is a chap in the UK selling repair kits. If you are reasonably mechanically minded and handy with a soldering iron, and happy to remove components on a PCB and replace them you can fix all of your issues in about an hour. The kit costs £35 with full instructions and also you can phone him for advice. It consists of a number of capacitors (as per solution #1 plus several others). I fixed mine over the weekend and am delighted with the results, no need to pay hundreds for the the boards from whirlpool!!
This is a common problem with these Fridge Freezers. I had the same symptoms the cure is to replace both capacitors C1 and C2 on the rear PC. C1 is a 1uF 250v ac and C2 is a 1000uF 6.3v dc both can be obtained from Radiospares. Hope this helps it certainly saved me a lot of money. Peter

Im not really sure but i would say it could be a pc board problem. something shorting out and drawing a lot of power that is why your display are flickering and your lights flicker too.

Hi, you have a common problem with your control boards; there is a cheap fix if you can use a soldering iron or you can have your modules repaired. Let me know
Your freezer section has a defrost system problem. A device (Timer) schedules defrosts, energizes electric heaters which melt the frost, when the temperature of the coil gets above the point where all ice is melted a thermostat opens cutting the electrical circuit for the heater(s). The defrost cycle continues until the time expires (18-22 minutes). Therefore your problem could be any one of the three elements. Timer, heater, or thermostat.

We have the same problem - flashing temperature lights and clicking, that disappear at lowest (too cold) temperature setting.
Any solution to this? Is it a sign the fridge is about to break??
Thanks.
