Recording Recorder says no data available. Won't record because it says disk full. Went to hdd erase and set to erase. Go back to record, won't record because still says disk full. Always kept on "continue" in record setup. Even tried rebooting several times, no change.

I have the same problem. I believe this unit is a lemon by Samsung. I was so exhausted I went to Hard drive erase. After I erased the HD, now it will not record or go into recode mode. I think all it good for now is just to view the monitor. When I call Samsung they dont have a clue what a DVR is. I never seen a company so illerate. They cant even tell me where I can send it for repair.

My dvd drive recorder/

A common and annoying problem. This is nearly always caused by a disk that has had an attempt to be burned but did not succeed, The disk is now useless as it has had a tiny fraction of data burned on to it making now impossible to re-use.

If it is a CD/DVDRW, try erasing it first.

HDD/DVD Model RH265 : worked perfectly for 14 months. Now will not allow deletion of data from HD and also will not allow recording to HD. Symbol circle with diagonal bar appears on screen . Still allows...

Sounds like the hard disk might be full. How many recordings have you got on the machine? You say it won't allow you to delete "data". Have you protected the recordings?

WS-110 memory full but no files

well, i resolved this myself by going to the sub-menu, and formatting the recorder to its original state. thankfully, i backed up the files on my computer first, so i didn't lose any data, although i did have to go in and re-set all my preferences on the recorder.
lesson: don't MOVE files from recorder to computer. copy them instead, and do the actual erasing from the physical recorder itself.
i don't know if this was the most elegant solution, but at least it did get my recorder up and running again. i'd love to hear if there is a better resolution out there.

Sony icd-320 handheld voice record.

The erase button is on the right hand side of the recorder. When you are on the message that you want to delete, then hold the erase button down. The message will start to play and an erase message will flash. Push the erase button down again and it will delete the message. Continue to do this for each message until you have the desireable amount of free space.

HDD Error

Since my last post, I have rectified the problem.....

1) I opened the unit to find a seagate HDD
2) I downloaded the Seatools in dos format and burned the image on to a cd rom
3)Taking out the HDD from my recorder,I hooked it up to another pc and ran the seatools disk @ bootup.
I tried for 2 hrs to repair the bloody thing ( 160 gb!) so i gave up and tried to erase the full HDD...which worked.
4) on my laptop i navigated to Pioneers site and found my recorder along with instructions and a zip file that contained 2 files.
5)After reading the destructions erm i mean instructions ;) I put the HDD back into the recorder and followed the instructions again..

Crossing my fingers i turned the recorder back on and to my amazement i was able to have more functionality..BUT... it says my HDD name error so I ran the disk again and wallah! all worked XDDDD

Here are the links

http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/content/support/support/update/DVR.html check if your model is there.

Recorder says "PLEASE DOWNLOAD FILES," but there are no files to download

The DS-2 has a format option in the menu under submenu. After you choose start you will see a progress bar and it should return to full record time. Use on a MAC seems to cause the reduced record time more often than on a PC.

Downloading from hdd to dvd+r ?

When you recorded your "footage" was the dvd recorder set to 2hr (sp), 2.5hr (spp), or 3hr (LP), etc.?Because for example, you downloaded (recorded to your hdd)your "footage" that is say 3hrs long, and your recorder is set to record at 2hrs mode(sp), then when you put a blank dvd in recorder to transfer from hdd to blank dvd, the 3hrs of your "footage" has been recorded in 2hr mode on your hdd, and will only record in 2hr mode onto your blank dvd. Solution is to set your recorder to the record mode in which your "footage" length is. For example, if your "footage" length is 3hrs, set your recorder mode to LP then when you insert your blank dvd should be okay. Or, set your recorder mode to 2hr (sp) and make two recordings of your "footage" onto hdd, splitting them up: 2hr on one, and 1hr on the other. When you burn to blank dvd you will have to have 2 blank dvds, one for 2hrs, the other for 1hr. I had to same thing happen to me. I hope this works for ya.
