How can I keep the backlight on the clock? During the night, I want to see what time it is and the backlight only comes on when you press the power button. What am I doing wrong?
It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. It sounds like that is the way the unit was designed. It's a power save feature.
Can you see the time on the screen if the room light is on? If not, the backlight won't do you any good anyway.
Unless there is some sort of menu that allows you to change it, you're probbaly stuck with the way it is. It's all in the software thats programmed into the microprocessor and that's almost impossible to modify.
The only thing I could think of is to find the backlight voltage line and power it directly off of the power supply (using isolation diodes), keeping it on all the time. This however requires you to take the unit apart and dive into the electronics - something you may not wish to do.

Just keep the stereo on and press the button that says line and then you wont have that problem anymore, unless you want to save electricity... then i'm not sure, sorry, Hope that helps.
