Maybe the system needs a complete fluff cleanout. the build up may be obstructing the hot air flow through the condensor manifold, or sticking the circ fan.

  • Anonymous Feb 16, 2008

when the t/d is turned on check that the circulation fan motor is spinning. then to clean out the fluff you have to remove the condensor manifold -usually situated from the entrance to the heater pack and circ fan motor housing. flushing with water or a flexi will help.

After washes it displays check detergent. some washes are also not spinning properly and cloths are still quite wet. Can you help I have a miele gala grande w 3000

Hi dear.
Basically you can check fluff filter otherwise you may need to have a technical assist. Fluff filter located on front LHS bottom corner of your machine.. Open plastic cover. Place small bowl under fluff filter area to collect about 2 Lt of water. Slowly turn fluff filter anticlockwise to let it drain remaining water in there.. Then remove it and check for blockage. ( Step by step You can get full instruction from your machine's user manual on cleaning and care section.) If that does not solve the issue you may call Miele to assist you or local repairer. I hope that helps.Thanks.

Speedqueen does not wash clean. Always white fluff on clothes. Is there a filter to clean

Clean you 'lint filter' - see your instruction booklet or if you don't have it google your washing machine model and see where the lint filter is and how to clean it. It's usually a small pouch on top on the steel drum that you have to slide out and clean.
Hope this helps.

Thor washer/dryer combo not drying properly. What is capacity of machine?

Whilst 'combos' will 'wash' a full load of clothes, they are not so good at 'drying' a full load. Since there must be a 'tumbling space' inside of the drum, into which the clothes can fall during the drying cycle.
In a 'nutshell' one 'wash load' equals 'two drying loads',
That's the price you pay for having a space saving 'combo' machine instead of having a 'washing AND a drying machine.
Add to that the fact that most 'combos' are 'condenser driers', as opposed to 'free flow outlet driers',
.
The consequence is that it takes far longer to 'wash and dry' a load of clothes in a 'combi' as oppose to two separate machines

My maytag model mdg9206bww dryer will not shut off on permanent press or delicates, it will dry somewhat but the unit never shuts off, if I put it on timed air fluff, the timer goes and it shuts off...

When was the last time you got your ducts cleaned? If they r full of lint then the moist air never gets outside and stays in the machine hence the clothes never dry. Might not solve the issue but they need to be done as they r also a fire hazard.

How do you dry on this machine? if you dry on the green, does it completely dry?

The automatic preheat and drying cycle kicks in as the final wash spin is under- way. The system employs a condenser dryer in which the hot air used to dry the clothes is channeled into a drum, instead of being released into the great outdoors via a dry vent hose. Cold water is drawn into the drum at the same time. The two mix, and the result is a condensing process.

The chlothes should be dry. there may be a damp feeling to them but otherwise dry. If your machine is not drying then the element could be going bad, or a thermal cutoff. those would be the easyiest fixes.

The BIG drawback is drying. It takes about 90 minutes to dry a load, and the clothes come out very wrinkled. Because the drum is so small, the clothes don't 'toss' in heated air and don't fluff at all. Clothes also come out stiffer than a regular dryer.

My dryer panel is turning on by itself. when I shut it off, it turns back on after a while. A load of clothes is drying, and the dryer keeps making a beeping sound every now and again. It seems to be...

Many of your better dryers have an anti-wrinkle function. When a load is complete if you don't take care of it, every little while the dryer will turn on for a few minutes to fluff the clothes and beep to remind you.

Thor laundry system won't dry clothes I have a thor no venting washer/dryer combo machine, that has been working fine for years. Suddenly it is not drying clothes and instead, clothes are soaking wet...

I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?

My roper dryer is spinning my electric meter like a top I replaced the heating unit but problem is still there on fluff dry no heat the meter crawls but low or high heat and the meter spins like atop

I am assuming that your talking about how much energy your using. When the unit runs on full heat, your electric meter will spin as you say like a top, this is quite normal. Electric dryers use tremendous amount of energy. Going on fluff your using just the normal 120v and not pulling many amps to run the dryer. However with the unit on high your pulling more amps and are now drawing 240v to operate your unit.
If your clothes are drying than it is not the heating unit.

If your concern is the amount of energy expended, there is always the old clothes line, which is energy efficient and if you live in a part of the world where the air is clean your clothes will smell fresher than if it came from a dryer.
