I have a 40" LCD that sparked and will not turn on.

I have a 40" LCD polaroid television model # 4011-TLXB when trying to turn it on sparks a buzzing sound and smoke came out the back of the tv. what can i do.

Turn it off and leave it off. It seems that your unit has some sort of major PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.

You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

I also had blown capacitors on my power supply. You can see when they're bad: the tops split or bubble up like a dome. I changed most of the caps, just to be sure, and it fixed the problem. Careful of the larger capacitors. They stay powered for some time and can shock you pretty badly. Good Luck

I have a polaroid 4011-tlxb tv and when i turn it on the blue light comes on but no picture i have to keep turning it on and off untill i get a picture
It may have dying 24vdc power supply due to bad caps, check that first, it may cause more damage if you keep turning on and off.

Power supply module is to supply voltages to the main control board (the board where the TV cable and video cables are connected to), backlight inverter board. Replace power supply board from PTS. No parts available for PCB.
Generic part nr for IC3 is A6252M can't find one easily.

Polaroid 4011-tlxb. Power to tv and it was turning from red to green light when you press power button but no picture. Pressing any buttons on tv or remote and nothing was happening. Replaced power supply...
if you replaced the supply board then there is issues with the decoder board as you would need to chec kthat and see if its not the issue.
