Horizontal lines on LCD screen

I have the same problem and i'm pissed. I called for tech support and they told me i gotta send it in for an estimate cause it sounds like the sensor. The camera is just under a year old, so duh i don't have the receipt anymore. But anyway when i asked him how long does this "sensor last" he told me that cameras last from 2-5 years, just like a cell phone. but my opinion is, these people just set us up. you know like the vacuum cleaners that we buy, the belt lasts for what 2 months. so yeah, i guess i have to buy another camera. but i am certainly not buying a fuji I have the same problem and i'm pissed.
