Question about Westinghouse SK-19H210S Television

Where are the in-line fuses on the inverter board (Westinghouse LCD)? I don't see any f ref. des. are they coils at the top right L43, 44, 45, 46 like MOV's. It sounds like I have the same problem as dbw116 on DEC 10, 2009. THNKS KLM

Ur tv the LCD inverter board it dead.The LCD inverter is the board that help the LCD screen panel to get a backlight to produce a picture,the LCD inverter board is dead and it not working anymore that why u only get 8 sec.of the picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.It a long board in shape.

Since this is not CRT TV, error codes above is not applied to this LCD TV.

Check to see if you have 24vdc at the inverter board fuse as shown in the picture, the problem can be the inverter board or power supply board.

Sound but no picture

It can be the backlight inverter board or it is not getting 24vdc from the power supply, you need to check and see if you do have 24vdc at the fuse on the inverter board as shown in the pictures.

My 27inch westinghouse flat screen has sound but

Ur LCD inverter board is dead.Replaced this LCD inverter board u will get ur picture back.This a simple repair take ur tv aparts,take out the LCD inverter board,it a long shape of a board.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replament.U will get ur picture back.Ok,good luck,labors about an hour work.

Hello,
Since you still get the sound it looks like that your inverter board is gone. Try to check if your Tv works with any external device for example Dvd or blue ray player if it works fine then you know that your tunes is out. Either way you have to change the main board. I can provide you more information on what part no you need for your TV, just leave a comment .

You need to replace the inverter board. The lamp failing is very uncommon, moreover LCD Tvs have more than one lamp, and they do not fail all at once.
The connection cable from inverter to main board must be tested, the inverter must be tested, then the inverter must be replaced.
If you DIY remember that the inverter is an high voltage board.

This sounds like bad inverter board.
Every time LCD goes from Standby to ON state - Inverter Board resets it’s self for approx. ~1 sec, during which time you should see blue screen.
Problem is that board detects problem with voltage/current on one of the seven transformers and shuts down automatically...
As to the costs:
- BestBuy repair service approx.. $600.00
- Buy new Inverter Board & repair LCD your self approx. $200.00
- Another option is to repair Inverter Board, but parts are sometimes hard to get...
Now for the DON"T TRY THIS AT HOME or AT YOUR OWN RISK solution:
-The cheapest method is to bypass protection circuit, by transferring good signal from working transformer (using 10nF/250V capacitor) to detection circuit at the faulty transformer.
Then watch movies on your LCD unlit BAD transformer totally BURNS-OUT.
This will be obvious by dark stripe about 1"-2" tall across your display.
Hopefully the only damage will be to the transformer and not CCFL (light behind your LCD), but when you are faced with a choice of using it for a while longer or throwing your LCD to garbage right now... to me this choice was simple.

SK-19H2210S will not scan HD channels, will scan antalog channels only. Tv stops after scanning anolog channels, will not scan digital channels. over the air or with cable.
