I get the following error STOP: 0X05001309 when I shut down my Dell e6400. I suspect it has to do with pointsec. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I have no password for my dell that has point sec security

A second-hand computer with PointSec encryption... sounds very suspiciously like stolen goods. Most folks who are aware of security enough to use PointSec would have formatted/wiped the drive and re-installed the original OS prior to sale. (Which is what you will need to do to use it)

Have to reset screen resolution every time

albrechtchri,

To resolve this issue you may want to reinstall the video card drivers into the system. This should resolve you having to change the resolution every time you start up the computer. If you need to download the drivers for your Latitude E6400 you can click the link below and choose the the video card that you have installed in your computer.
