Please try the following: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

The kodak easyShare z740 camra i have purchesed will not turn on

For Z740 camera the batteries should be AA Ni-MH batteries it will provide a maximum power on the camera. Now if your using the battery and its fully charged still wont turn On.

To test your camera if its defective, Try to Turn On the camera using a 3V AC adaptor if this failed it means you need to send the camera for repair you may call kodak tech support toll free 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

My awsome camra doesnt work it flashes and everything but it wont show the picture on the screen its always blackn also my camra is a kodak easyshare 2700

A lot of Kodak's have a powersaving feature that turns the screen off to save battery life. Push the menu button while the camera is on and see if something pops up. If it does, the powersaver is on and can easily be turned on through the camera menu.

The camra will not turn off and the lense wont close

I encountered the same problem, just last night. If it is the same, the only way I could get it to turn off was by taking the batteries out and the lens still would not retract. After re-installing the batteries several times with the same result, it would not turn off, I did this: I re-installed the batteries and powered up the camera, I applied a little force/pressure to the lens and it went back in. After that the camera seems to be working fine. I hope this helps, Mike
