We have the blue spots starting on the screen and then they went increasing at the point the tv looks like having a sky full of stars at night. Right now we also have a yellowish block patern from the center of the tv impossed over the picture. We really don't know if it is better to buy a new tv or to fix this one.

Your optical block is going bad. Contact sony support with your model and serial number. They sometimes warranty these even after the 1yr warranty has expired.
