Unplug the machine and carefully pull the edge of the door gasket near the door opening. Put the lip of the door gasket properly over the lip of the door opening. Check that it is properly seated before putting back on the retaining hoop around the lip of the door opening and the gasket. Replace the retaining hoop if it holds the door gasket loose.

Feel free to update me about the result and if you need further assistance.

How to Replace rubber seal on front load washer

The rubber seal on your washer and similar front loading washers is a relatively easy repair. The seal is held onto the front washer panel and the fixed inside washer drum with separate spring-loaded rings that are reusable. So, don't throw them away! You need to remove the front ring from the front panel before you can remove the front panel. With the ring removed the gasket should be pushed into the washer; noting any drain holes, so that you can reinstall the new gasket in the same orientation. Once the outer ring is removed and the front panel is out of the way, you will have access to the ring holding the gasket to the drum. After the inside ring is removed, the gasket should pull off the fixed washer drum. You are now ready to install the new replacement gasket.

The amount of disassembly of the front of the washer is your option if it interferes with the installation. The door is usually heavy and it is useful to remove it from the front panel. Usually, a couple screws holds it in place. Removal of the front panel may also involve removal of the top of the washer and moving the control panel out of the way so that you can access the screws holding the front panel onto the frame of the washer. The locking latch may have to be temporarily removed but can be left in place if you simply push the front panel out of the way to have access to the inside gasket ring. It is useful to take pictures of each stage of the disassembly process to make sure your reinstall everything as it was.

Installation of the gasket starts with reattaching it to the fixed washer drum flange and then replacing the spring-loaded ring to hold it in place. Make sure the gasket orientation matches the original position. After the gasket is attached to the drum, you can now reinstall the front panel. If you unscrewed the latch mechanism when you took off the panel, now is the time to reinstall it as it can be manually held in place behind the gasket. The door can usually remain off the front panel until installation of the gasket onto the front panel is complete. Now bring the gasket forward and reinstall it on the flange of the front panel; secure it in place with the spring-loaded ring. Your gasket is now reinstalled. Simply reinstall the door and your repair is complete.

Tools needed include a blade screwdriver to help pry the rings off the gasket seal and one or two specialty screwdrivers (usually Torx or Philips) to remove the front panel.

How do I replace the oring gasket on a front loading samsung wash machine model number wf219anw/xaa

I can tell you how to fix one on the WF218ANW/XAA washer. Your model may be the same. You need to take the top panel off the washer by taking out two screws on back panel. You need to remove the control panel and place it on the top of the unit (it is attached with electrical cord). You need to talk out the detergent tray (press the clip in the middle). You then take off the front panel. it is not necessary to take off the door; however, to remove the panel you will need to remove the door latch mechanism on the inside of the door. To remove front panel, there are also two screws on the bottom of the unit. Once you have the front panel off, remove the old gasket by loosening the two springs rings. Pay attention to how the gasket is installed before removing. Replace gasket by installing inner portion first and replacing spring ring and tightening. Put all the parts back on the washer and install the outer portion of the gasket (with the spring ring). Samsung charges $130 to do this in my area and it's a pain in the neck.

Rubber gasket

Hi,

Feel around the seal, in the groove behind the seal face. You'll find a spring at the bottom. With a small screwdriver, lever the spring over the seal face. Work the steel ring off. Fold the seal inside the washer. Unplug the washer, Remove the door, and set aside. Locate your panel screws and remove the front, exposing the drum and basket. There are usually additional screws under the dispenser trays too. Disconnect the door lock wires. Locate the other spring/ring assembly on the outer drum, and remove. Orient your new seal properly and reassemble. The only difference on the reassembly is that, when you are putting the rings back on, start 180 degrees from the spring, and work the ring back on until you get to the spring. Carefully lever the spring back over the seal face, being careful not to damage your new seal.

Metal ring fell off

If you are talking about a small metal hoop with a spring on one end, it is the outer bellow retaining clamp. The bellow is the rubber door seal. The retaining ring inserts into a groove in the rubber seam around the perimeter of the door where it attaches to the door frame. To reinstall, first make sure the door boot is fitting snugly around the door frame opening. Sometimes when the retaining spring comes loose, the rubber may pull away from the door frame. Beginning at the top of the door, start inserting the wire hoop back into the groove. Make sure the wire spring points towards the bottom. As you work your way around the door to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, you will need to maintain some constant downward pressure while pulling the spring apart in order to snap it back into place with your thumbs. It would be advisable to use a second set of hands to hold the wire hoop in place while doing this as it has the tendency to want to come out of the groove.

If this is not the spring you are talking about, please post back and elaborate a bit more on what the part looks like to see if I can assist you better. (i.e., size, dimension, where you found the part, etc.)

I hope you find this information helpful.

Putting on spring loaded wire seal ring on a bosch washer

You have to make sure that the spring part is towards the bottom of the front. If you look closely at the washer at the bottom you will see a groove. That groove is where that spring will need to end up otherwise the whole thing will keep poping off.

how I install is I use a 90 degree pick tool. I work the edge of the seal with the metal ring and making sure it lines up with the groove. once there is tension on the spring I streatch it with the 90 degree pick tool and continue to work the rest of the gasket around. Once you get that completed I push down on the spring to make sure that it is in there. If it is not it takes one door opening to make it fall all apart and you have to start over.

After a recent wash with my whirlpool AWZ410,found a wire ring with spring attachment in the clothes.I imagine it's some sort of holder for the rubber gasket, any tips on reinstalling it?

it stretches around the outer ingof the bellw, with the spring to the bottom, start by hanging over top lip of gasket, then by pulling down, you should be able to slip it over the bottom( a third hand may com in handy.)

The rubber gasket around the tub fell off on front loader

Open the door and reinstall the bellows (door gasket) onto the door lip. The metal ring clamps the bellows to the door lip. Start in the groove at the top and work your way down the sides. The spring part goes on the bottom (be careful not to stretch it too much). An extra pair of hands could help.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
Good luck!

Gasket came loose and rapped around laundry-tub seems loose

if your metal ring (clamp) came off it is most likely due to you shocks or the spring at the top are worn out and need to be replaced. this will happen more often if the cycles are off balance or the washer is over loaded
