My magnavox 37" LCD tv does not have a picture but dose have sound,I can not get my menu or AV on screen

Thank you for posting your question on Fixya. There are some simple diagnostics you can do that will help us find the problem
1)Do you notice a flash on the screen before the picture goes out?
2)Turn on the set and darken the room. See if you notice a dull glow on the screen. If there is no dull glow then
3)Take a flash light and flash it on the screen from a close distance. See if you notice a dull image on the screen. Keep changing the channels to make it more noticeable.

What about the glow? Did you notice any glow on the screen?

Please don't switch experts at will. You will get confused working with so many experts. The flash indicates a faulty inverter board. I just wanted to confirm it by checking if you see any glow. The glow means its not the inverter board and that we have to continue diagnosis.

I have a Magnavox 37MF321D/37. There is sound to the TV and it turns on and off. The screen does not light up at all and there is no visible picture. The power button remains green like normal.

Hi

Do you have no picture on all imputs i.e, tv or any AV inputs, can you get any on screen graphics from the menu system?, if not, it is possible the inverters( controlling the voltages to the screen) or a supply to the inverters has failed, either way the TV needs to be repaired. If you do get on screen graphics from the menu it would suggest that you have a external source problem either from you aerial (if you have no picture via the tv input) or a connection/syncing issue with an external source

Magnavox 42 inch flat panel cannot get a picture

TV may need software upgrade. Go to menu, find instalation, find software upgrade, find. If version is bellow FL2D-r23 (#23) TV needs upgrade.
Get upgrade on the internet onto a USB flash drive. The file may be a ZIP file, if so, unzip to a folder in PC then put the file to the USB drive.
Turn TV on, plug in the USB drive, wait til the upgrade is finished. Unplug USB drive, turn TV off w/remote.
The TV will then turn on by its self and the upgrade is complete.
