Have a Vizio VX37L that when it is turned the 'Vizio' on the front turns from orange to white, a blue screen that says "no signal" appears and then turns itself off 'VIZIO' on front turns to orange.
HERE'S THE FIX: I just went through this with my Vizio VX37L. TV is stuck in RGB input. This is the fix....
TV is stuck in RGB input.
(option 1) Power on TV, and press the INPUT button repeatedly and rapidly until you can change to a different input, such as AV.
If that doesn't work, try:
(option 2) With the TV off, press and hold the INPUT button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. The TV will no longer be locked, and the INPUT button should function properly after that.
Option 2 worked for me!
Option 2 helped me as well!
JD Berk! That worked like a charm!! Thank you for taking the time to post this simple reset issue..i found this on the side of the road as someone had put it out with the trash.. I figured, "what the hell" I'll check things out!! Free TV's work for me!
Option 2 worked perfectly. Beware of anyone suggesting its a soldering issue inside the tv
Option 2 worked for me as well but had to hold the input button for about 10 to 15 seconds to get it to work. Thanks for the info!

Option 2 worked for me too as well..... Just as I was about to throw it to the garbage. Thank you!
Happiest girl EVER!! I was on the phone with Vizio tech support FOREVER and they never told me the Option 2 trick! Thank you!!!
option 2 worked for me, I actually pushed source input on remote, not on tv...I tried on tv several times with no response. First try on remote and BINGO! THANX ALOT
Thank you! Option 2 worked for me, to!

It's probably indicating a problem.
Wow.....now that certainly was some pretty DREADFUL Help, you may try reading the question before spewing out a bunch of nonsense or maybe even consider a new line of work. Nothing you said indicated that you paid any attention to David's question. I am having the same issue with the same model Vizio but I didn't realize this was a pay site, however I WAS considering biting the bullet if I thought it would resolve my issue but after reading that response I realize I should probably hang on to my money or pay Helen Keller to answer my questions and maybe even fix it for me. Boy I hope this isn't viewed as an advertisement, and I know there is no profanity and it's not even a personal attack just a fact Jack. PVR......lol, thats good stuff, keep up the good work.
atsmith, your evaluation of this 'Help' is right on the money. I thought a person had to have at least a general understanding of a question in order to answer it...apparently I was wrong. This guy must just copy and paste from a list of possible answers. Hey buddy, if your car doesn't start, drive it around the block to diagnose it, okay?

None of the buttons work on the remote or the side of the tv. I cannot enter the menu mode and the TV turns off in a matter of seconds (maybe 5)
The only input into the tv right now is a HDMI cable from a DVR - has been working fine (and works fine in another vizio tv), until we tried to connect rca cables to the side inputs.
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Two things that will cause the NO Signal message to come up are, No data available for closed captioning and a weak signal input. Your TV is in the Closed Captioning Mode. To turn of simply bring up the on screen menu and scroll down to the part that says closed captioning and turn this function off! With the closed captioning block displayed and the program being viewed is not sending out closed captioning signals the TV will display, No Signal.
If this doesn’t resolve your issue then the problem may be with the processor failing and it is causing a random read of the EPROM to display the not available message.
I’ll suggest you to run the HDMI from the PVR (personal video recorder) directly to the TV (mute the TV), and then run the optical audio from the PVR directly into the receiver's optical in. The closed captioning is something that is addressed in analog broadcasts, but not necessarily digital broadcasts
Try using Component cables if this doesn’t make a difference. After using components cables your issue will be resolved.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks

Per the reply below.....
The tv turns off before menu can be accessed.
The signal strength should be fine as I have another tv setup that gets the picture.
Currently, the tv will power on -"vizio" goes from orange to white. Then a blue screen with 'no signal' appears. Within about 5 seconds the tv powers down (the 'vizio' on the front goes from white to orange
