HP 5370c has no driver available from HP for XP 64

hp does not have Vista drivers for your Scanjet 5370c model.

Workaround,
You can try to Vuescan program(Trial) from http://www.hamrick.com/, then install the Scanjet 5370c XP installer to your PC. Try and see whether it works!

You will have to order this CD-ROm containing the drivers and software from HP. MAC OSX drivers are not available for download from the website.

Unfortunately HP have not created any drivers for your Scanner for Vista and I have been informed that they are not planning to either.
There is a "work around" If you download Microsoft's Virtual PC and install a copy of windows XP you would then be able to scan using the "Virtual PC" inside of your Vista operating system. Otherwise the only way out is to purchase a new scanner Sorry to be the barer of bad news

Yes, there is... but the catch is you have to order it from HP.
I thought it would be a free download as they providde for Windows OS, but that's not the case.

go to contol panel and select new hardware. then try it by reading that instruction. if its no result then u can reinstall ur Xp

If its a new computer, but with the same software, don't you think it would be the computer's problem???

Install the driver.
use the compatibility wizard, search for the programme, to change the settings for this programme to use xp sp2, Tick the box, tick the box run as Administrator, this will let the PC think your running xp for the driver,
Now try Printing something.
