Select the "Format" entry from the Setup menu.

Full details are in the "About the Setup Menu" in the "Preparation" chapter of the manual (page 29 in my copy).

My Panasonic Lumic DMC-F3 Will start to record videos, but when I go to stop the recording and save it to the camera, it says "Read Error" and shuts itself down... I don't know what it is. Any ideas? And...

Make sure you are not using an incompatible card like a SDHC card which looks identical. If the F3 can use those cards, make sure you format it in the menu system. If it still fails, try another card, it may be bad. Remove the card and do a short recording to internal memory to check system, if it is capable.

My camera doesn't see SD 16GB anymore. Worked fine until a few days ago. SD works fine on PC

Try inspecting the memory card slot, eventually with a magnifying glass. Sometimes just a little bit of dust, a small paper or other debris, can block data transfer. Be sure al contacts on the card, but also in the camera are clean and shining. Never use sharp tools in or around a camera. Don't scratch the contact points.
And to make sure you can put pictures on a memory card, there must be space. If possible try to format the card in the camera. Just to make sure the camera sees the correct file system on the memory card.

Need information on micro SD HC, and how do i format for my panasonic dmc-fz28

Hi

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 uses SD and SDHC cards. If you have a microSDHC card you will need an adaptor to make it into a full size card. This may have come with the microSDHC card. The card can be formatted in the camera. If you have problems formatting it in the camera you may have to format it in a computer or USB reader first, and then place it in the camera to format it

I have Lumix DMC-FZ28: How do I get photos off the internal memory to the SD Card?

There is no such button. Instead, use the "Copy" command in the Playback menu.

SD card - memeory card parameter error

Some camera's, especially older ones, have a limit as to the maximum size of the memory card that they support. Look in the manual to see what the camera can support.

Connecting my cam panasonic fz28 to my pc

To solve this problem, I bought an SD card reader.

All you have to do is plug your SDHC card into the reader, then plug the reader into your USB port, and you should be able to access your images/videos.

I have the same 8Gb SDHC 15 MB/s plus the same camera (FZ28) and it works perfect for me. - Doing it this way is much easier.

You can find SD card readers (Which will work also for SDHC cards) on ebay for a small price of around 2-3 pounds (£) at cheapest. - Just type in "SD Card Reader".

Hope this helps.

DMC-FZ28 camera memory

First of all, it's faster to use a fast SD to USB adapter with a fast SD card. This beats attaching a (slow) cable to the camera by far. Plus, the method of transfer gets confusing when considring internel memory via cable, on some systems. Skip the cable. I like to get my SD card with matching USB adapter. Both of these need to rated fast. Not just a "Class 6" and not just big but FAST. It saves your time! Repeatedly.

Therefore, switch to "Play" mode. Go down to the "Playback" menu and find "Copy". Copy "in" to the SD icon. That's it.

You might want to clear you internal memory too. But only after your pictures are safe.
