I have a westinghouse 32 in flatscreen tv it is about 5 yrs old. when you turn the tv on sound no picture.

This problem is caused by a bad backlight power supply. Check out this page on our web site:
www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself.This page gives pictures and parts information. You will need to open your monitor and replace the parts call capacitors that are damaged as directed on the page. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $40 plus shipping.
