The memory is 99% full and is making the machine run poorly

The memory is 99% full and is making the machine run slowly. How do i clear the fax and/or other memory?

make sure you have no messages or trouble lights on. the messages may be very small in the top left part of the screen. check this in all modes of the machine. copier, scan, doc server, print and fax. after you have verified this

HOW TO CLEAR MEMORY ON FAX MACHINE

Most likely the memory is full because your fax machine either can't print what is in the memory (check paper, ink, etc), or it can't send out faxes you've already scanned into it. (check phone line and ability to dial).
To clear the memory, unplug fax from phone and wall, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in.

Outgoing memory is full

press

Function
7
monitor key slowly 4 times
* star key
6
scroll down to ALL JOB CLEAR
set
wait for a reboot, about 2 mins.

Your fax machine most likely is not finding a dial- tone, so faxes are piling up in memory and are never being transmitted.

After the reboot, press the monitor key once and listen for the dial-tone.

I have a mfc620cn. I have replaced the cartridges

This error code means that the size of the paper your machine prints onto is different to the size that it has received from another fax....take your paper out and adjust the side guides put the paper back in and then see what it says...

There may be a button on your console that says 'memory' or
"memory status". pressing this key should erase any documents in the memory.

if none of this works turn it off and leave it off overnight, if in the morning when you turn it back on the memory should have been cleared....dont turn it off at the machine turn it off at the wall socket so the machine thinks there is a power failure...this should make the machine print out a status report when you turn it back on.
The above is for the fax problem. For the unrecognized catridge:-
This is a usual problem observed in times of loose connection or dirty catridge contacts. Please make sure that the catridges are clean ( especially the contacting end ). Try cleaning with alcohol.

Can not send more than 99 pages as PC fax.

Like every fax machine, there is a limit to how many pages it can keep in memory before needing to be cleared. Yours is apparently only 99. If you want to send more than 99 pages at a time without clearing the memory, i'd look for another printer.
