After 30 seconds if the control does not detect water entering the machin then the water valve will be shut off and the error code show.

also:
If the control has turned the water valves on and 8 minutes pass and the flow meter has measured roughly 10.1/2 gallons of watergoing through it, but hasnt detected the pressure switch being triped, the water valve will shut off and the fh error code will blink

First push the PAUSE/CANCEL key twice to clear the control

If no water in the unit do this: - Make sure the valves at the water source are turned on fully.
Inspect for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or maybe plugged screens in the inlet valves
Also inspect the water valves operation

If there is water in the washer: - Inspect the drain pump, and the pressure switch hose for any kinks or rips. also check for proper connections with that hose to the tub and pressure switch.

may be a siphon problem read your manual on that.
Check all wireing harness connections to the Water valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and the ccu or cental control unit
Inspect all hoses for any leaks
Replace the failed component if found ...

hope this helps

What does Fh or Fh stand for

this code is for flow error , its telling you the washer hasn't detected the proper flow of water in the time allotted for it to fill up , ck your hoses for kinks and your shut off valves for being full open (they need full open) also can be a fault in the flow sensor inside washer (happens a lot with high mineral water ) it sets up hard inside the flow sensor and blocks it from working well

ohh and I have seen in one case the homes water pressure was too low for washer to work as well , but this is rare and that one case was on a well system not a city supply ,but this too is fixable as well (pun intended)

FH IS FLASHING ON THE WASHER AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING ONLY 5 MNUTES INTO ITS CYCLE

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the scrrens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

My kenmore elite quite pak 2, HE3 shows F then H and quits the cycle.

Hello,

The FH error code mean that no water was detected entering the machine. The things to check are,a pinched or kinked water hose into the washer, the faucets off or if faucets on make sure that something has not restricted the water flow through the hoses..this will be possible espically if they washer is connected using "AQUA FLOW FLOOD STOP" ..the internal flood stopper will cause water flow to be cutoff for no reason. Also check the filter screens on the back of the washer where the fill hoses connect to,for debris in the screens.

If all above checks ok i would suspect the part called the FLOWMETER was defective in the washing machine.

HE3t has an FH error code checked the following and are OK. pressure switch, flow meter, and inlet valves water flows in without restriction. What else could it be? Craig

Hi,

Thank you for contacting fixya.com.

FH error code means low water inflow. In this error washer is not filling when the fill valve opens.
To clear the error please follow the bellow instructions:-
Press the "Stop" button twice with your finger. This cancels the cycle and stops the washer. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.Turn the water shut off valves clockwise to stop the water flow to the washer through the supply hoses. Pull the washer away from the wall enough that you can access the hose connections at the back of the washer.

Set a bucket under the area of the hose connections. Unscrew the hose connections from the back of the washer. If necessary, use a pair of slip joint pliers to help start the connections turning until you can turn them by hand. Set the ends of the hoses inside the bucket.Inspect the screens on the inlet ports on the back of the washer where the hoses connect. Sediment and other debris can block these screens, causing fill problems. Clean the screen with an old toothbrush.

Thread the hoses back onto the washer. Look for kinks in the hoses. Kinks cut off water supply to the washer which causes the FH error code. Once you connect the hoses, turn the water supply valves counter-clockwise to supply water to the washer. Move the bucket away from the washer and push the washer back into its working position.Plug the power cord back into the outlet and start the wash cycle again. If the FH error code comes up again, call a service repairman. If the hoses have no kinks and the inlet screens are clean, there is a problem with either the pressure switch or the flow meter.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

What does it mean when the washing machine stops and blinks the letters fh?

The fault code "FH" means basicly a water inlet flow problem. Make sure you check that you have enough pressure and the machine is filling to the correct level

Have the water flow meter checked or replaced. If the internal wheel sticks inside the meter, the CCU will think no water is entering the washer and give you this error code.

Do you notice an above normal amount of water in the washer when you notice the error code? This is a good indication the flow meter is faulty. You can obtain the part from Sears and install it yourself. Very easy fix

Fh error on kenmore he washer. Washer stopped mid cycle and would not drain. Pulled filter in lower front and water drained but now when I try to run a cycle no water flows and I get a fh error. I changed...

The following link may give you a bit more advice on how to troubleshoot the "FH" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615354-fh_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

The problem with this error code is the multiple things that can cause it to be generated. This can often be a bit tricky to troubleshoot. You mentioned you checked the drain pump filter. Keep in mind, if anything had been lodged in the pump impeller for any significant period of time, this could have caused irreparable damge to the pump. If the drain pump is not working, the washer will not begin a wash cycle.

I was going to recommend checking your drain hose placement for a possible siphoning situation, but you stated you had no water coming in. A siphoning situation would allow the washer to attempt to fill, but it will experience problems maintaining the proper water level.

You also mentioned you replaced the water inlet valve. Not to undermine your technical abitlities, but did you install it correctly? Verify your installation again to be sure.

Read through the link provided and look at some of the follow up comments from other users. Although, you say your flowmeter may be good, there seems to be a noted problem with them. One consumer explained to me once to make sure the flowmeter is vertical. If it is horizontal, this can also cause problems. I don't know how true that is, but its worth a try.

Another thing to consider are clogged screens in the water inlet hoses. This could be restricting your water flow. Comments from Andrewgrhogg are especially helpful on how to troubleshoot a possible water inlet valve problem.

I hope I've given you enough the go by. Let me know if you still need assistance.

We have recently bought a Maytag Epic front load washer and F & H keeps comming up...what's the problem?

FH is an indication the the machine is not sensing enough water flowing into the machine....
The only thing you can do without taking the machine apart is to disconnect the water hoses to the back of your machine and inspect the filter screens for any type of debris that might be restricting water flow into the machine. Typically, the cold water line is more susceptible to foreign matter than the hot waterline.
If screens appear OK then the problem may be with the water fill valve, water flow sensor, water pressure switch or blockage in the water pressure switch hose.

However.. if everything is fine using just cold, verify hot water for proper pressure or possible kinks in the hose.
