Have a pt cruiser and my remote start wont start the car. but when we hit it all the bells and the whisles come on but just don't start. but when we start it manualy it start but shuts off what could be wrong

Is it possible that is the starter relay? I didnt even realize it had one until I started looking online. Where would the starter relay be in the engine ... Having issues with my starter relay.

You need to take your motor to a Garage where they can put a diag machine on it.

Hit and miss, they may need reprogramming to your key. Check that there are no loose wires around fuse box, relays and module. Its a known problem with cruiser (just some cars). There is lots about this on net, one guy just hits his dash and it works again, another guy opens hood and fault clears for a spell.

Could be a weak check valve in the fuel pump allowing fuel pressure to drain back into the tank overnight.

Don't try start the engine when the oil light turn on, it would harm your piston, camshaft and crankshaft
It should be the oil pump has broken and need to replace, tow your car to the nearest service center

To much too type, there is a lot of details to this job, the best thing to do is to get a book on this particular vehicle, its about $20.00 at a auto parts store. This will give you all the timing marks, the dos and don't-- locations and torque specs ect....

CHECK YOUR BATTERY LEADS EITHER ON THE BATTERY OR THE EARTH WIRE TO ENGINE AND CHASSIS OR FEED WIRE TO STARTER MOTOR
unless you have a fuse or relay jumped out
but you must have been going fast for that.....

replace the starter it has a dead spot and will only get worse

a bad starter or starter relay could cause this problem
