I just bought the turtle beach x1's and had the same problem only it was the left side not the right and i was pushing the green audio connector cable to close together with the av componet connector and just slightly removed the audio cable from the av connector cable basically just slightly remove the headphones from the connection port on whatever you are connecting it to if that dosent work then most likely you have a lose connetion port on your device and will need to replace it or replace the device alltogether if the port can not be replaced.

restore using the utility system restore go to control panel, and put the last day that you know was working good.
However you can use cleaner contacts solvent and fix it. Open in control panel the icon sound and use the tabs for headphone, and test the troubleshooting.
You mus sure that you headphone is good, try to test in another computer or CD, DVD. etc
God bless you

Skullcandy

Could be your plug, try it on several devices, if it works, something is probably wrong with the device it doesn't work with, if it still doesn't work, it's something with your headphones, try replacing the plug.

I have a pair of skullcandy ind'd headphones and

Hello,
don't feel alone this happens on lots of head phone set up. What happens sense the wire run through the top over to the other side and head phone are constantly put on , twisted, adjusted and so forth, the small little wires that are normally soldered to the two wires to each side get loose. Only thing you can do to attempt to fix it yourself, is to take off carefully the right side ear piece, and get to the exposed wires, you will then notice most likely it will be smashed or loose. If you or if you have a friend that knows how to solder, than, you would make sure wire is cleaned, stripped and re- solder it. Than problem will work. I am sure that is the problem, nothing else it could be. Thanks Mike ( premium expert from fixya)

My skullcandy agent headphones are only working on the left side,,,,,its blank on the left side

Sounds like there may be a problem with the cord.
Try plugging in your headphones and playing some music and moving the cord around. If the sound cuts in and out then you have a lose connection and will need to replace your headphones.

My right earbud stopped working and ive had the product for less than 2 months... all the wiring looks fine and no physical damage is noticeable

Unfortunately the ear buds are not made to be repaired, your best option is take them back for replacement "hopefully they are under warranty"

My skullcandy earphones are busted

could be caused by the way you wrap them up the cords should never be wound tightly it causes a short and it just so happens that earphones are made of light weight wiring to make them seem to disapear when wearing them so what to do is instead of winding them when your done simply fold them loosely so to speak

Replacing headphone connector

The impedance or resistance of the two different sets of wires might be different. The higher the impedance the less signal. If your cable is long enough you are better off spending the five or so dollars for a new plug. Red is right, green or blue is left and copper is ground.( Usually) Unfortunately not all manufacturers agree. Also what could have happened is a short between the wires that you soldered.Make sure they are physically separated from each other and insulated.
