that PC is now retired. its no longer supported. (retired says HP)
just asked for you.
i went to the advisor page and it show no support for any A620
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
shows no support exists. period.
this PC is why over 10 years old
and has PATA hard drives, (long off tooth old)
and AGP slot for adding video, empty right?
there are many Net frames , not one. most PC to run may apps
need most of those not just 1 or 2. a fact.
most good apps that needs netframe ,ver.x loads it first .
facts.
WHAT that is the VIA thing.
i dug and dug and found a data sheet on a620n
hard to find it. but seems that is the ON BOARD Video chips
(GPU) used by HP, on board mother board, and jack same place.
its not a AGP slot card.
rumor has it (google)
A7V8X-LA (Kelut) mobo , 13 years old , it is.
uses, KM400a and VT8237 chips from VIA
the km400a drives the VGA jack and the AGP slot.
per this page
https://www.viatech.com/en/silicon/legacy/chipsets/km400a/
to there, click support click drivers
oops there never ways a w7 driver, for KM400
that means whom ever put w7 there, , killed the video dead.
doing that bad act.
your PC came new with what. XP ! never w7
so someone put on W7, id bet cash they did not use HP windows 7 media kit to do that, so that means the whole OS is not supported by HP, now. and for sure the card.
that leaves you with only these possibilities
1: only microsoft can help ever use device manager? and up date mode there, and be connected to the internet.?
this is 100% MS, plug and play mode , zero HP help here\
this all fails because Via never produced this drive..
2: go to VIA and get it from the chip maker.(did and fails)
4: buy new AGP card at say Newegg and make sure its w7 supported?
5: go to HP forum we are not them. and beg for your driver.
your not the first to ask.
