VERTICAL COLOUR BAND APEARING ON SCREEN WHEN TV SWITCHED ON. NO PICTURE. SOMETIMES A THIN HORIZONTAL LINE APEARING ON TOP WHEN COMES DOWN LITTLE PICTURE SEEN ON SCREEN.
SOUND AND REMOTE WORKING O.K,BUT NO DISPLAY OF REMOTE OPERATION.
Primary you need a service manual and electronic diagram of your set that may be found on the web or ask from tv's authorized dealer.
Most problems occur in the horizontal deflection and power supply sections.
These run at relatively high power levels and some components run hot.
The high voltage section is prone to breakdown and arcing as a result
of hairline cracks, humidity, dirt, etc.
The kind of problems we would
like to avoid at all costs are the ones that are intermittent
or difficult to reproduce: the occasional interference or a TV that
refuses to play 'StarTrek Voyager'.
I would suggest to start checking for proper voltage from the power supply to the other circuitry on your TV. The voltages should be printed near the connectors.
If the voltage appears to be low, check for any capacitors that start to become faulty, the signs are bad is that they are bulging on top or bottom as well leaking sometimes.
Next step should be to get the service manual if possible and try to fix it yourself. if you get the service manual, check the vertical section of your TV for faulty capacitors.
Good Luck and let me know if you need more assistance.
Here is the general contact number for hisense India.

Before calling them I suggest to do hard reset as posted already by coolguy (step one) and to disconnect all devices attached to your tv (recorders etc.). Please let me know if you need further information before leaving bad feedback.

I just found out that Hisense (a chinese brand ) just closed customer service in India. If you let me know in which city you live I will try finding an Hisense service in your area
Here are all customer support services Hisense offer. Guess all you can do is emailing them to find out how to get serviced in your area.
http://www.hisense.com/ctous.htm
In any case try first troubleshooting the problem as suggested.
Disregard my first link information. I mistyped it and is wrong. Again this is correct link for hisense support: http://www.hisense.com/ctous.htm. But unfortunately there is no contact in India, as this brand closed their India support some times ago, as shown in this other thread:

If there is any chipset to be changed it will be the horizontal chipset or something related to it.
In addition here you can download the user manual for your model. No service manual is made available from Hisense. This happens with many chineese brands.

Dear Sir. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to test your circuit board from here. I understood you are not an electronic technician, or hobbist.A technician in India should open it, test circuits on your TV board and troubloshoot the problem. Unfortunately LCD TVs are not like cathodic tvs, which were all similar to each other. With this kind of device may be difficult to do repair jobs with no schematics and similar documentation. Unfortunately Hisense does not make service manual available on the internet.
My suggestion is calling Hisense either in China or USA ad asking them to send you a service manual or schematics for your TV. If you give the documentation and the tv to a local technician, then he may be able to fix your tv.
Here is the phone number for USA you can call them and ask to send User manual and eventually schematics or other relevant documentation to you:
Toll free: 1-866-447-3673
Fax: 1-626-935-8883
Here is link to user manual page, as I said the 'service manual' , which is what you need, is not available online, you have to call them.
If this had been helpful, please rate positively.
Best regards.
Dear Sir I just found out that Surana Telecom Ltd is the sole representative in India for hisense products. My last suggestion is: contact Surana and ask them if they provide support for hisense products, and if in any case they can address you to an authorized service for hisense.
Here is the contact page for Surana.
Regards
And finally: here you can find the list of lcd tv repair services in Kolkata. Just Select Kolkata and Lcd TV Repair services. You will get the links listed at the left. None of them is Hisense licenced tv repair, but I am sure all of them will be able to fix your tv.
regards
If all this had been helpful, then please give us appropriate rating. Many thanks.

Hi,
Hi,
The most common cause for the loss of picture is a bad Horizontal Output Transistor
(HOT). but I would suggest you get a detailed
estimate. I think that this would cost you about $60.
The horizontal lines means the vertical amplifier or deflection system
has failed. There are over 100 components in this section and any one
of them, or most of them can be at fault. However, the most common
failure is the VOT or vertical output transistor (which is often buried
inside a chip).
The repair will cost around $250 plus or minus.
FEW TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS YOU CAN TRY:
ONE: Do a hard reset (just to make sure there is nothing in the coding
that is fowling things up). Unplug the power cord; leave it disconnected
for 4 hours. That will restore everything to factory defaults when you
power it back up.
TWO: Do the "whacking test" by banging your fist on a few strategic
places to see if there are any cold solder joints or loose wires acting
up inside the set.
If the above steps don't solve ur problem then I suggest you to go for a repair..
Goodluck..
I suggest you to contact Hisense for the circuit board.

Goodluck..
i have given you the contact details why don't you ask them.
Hi again,
I don't think the problem is with the LCD.
One more solution i can suggest you is that check the cable box if all the wires are properly attached to it.Some times due to bad cable connection you may see the vertical lines on the Tv.
Also can you please tell me where is the TV located in India?

Usually answered in minutes!
AS THIS TV SET IS IN INDIA, THEREFORE GETTING ESTIMATE WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE,PLS ADVISE WHICH CIRCUIT BOARD OR COMPONENT TO BE CHANGED.
Dear coolguy,
i have given n no.of mails to mr.chen,so far no reply from their end. I contacted my frnd in China, he had visited their Shanghai service center. They advised to send the TV to them, which is not practicable and cost effective. However again try to call them n try my luck.
FYI i had called a local technician, he says LCD might have gone, really am confused.
Rgds
