Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It means that the photoconductor unit is not set correctly. You’ll need to reset the black or color PCU correctly. Match the green arrow at the tip of the photo conductor unit to the rail inside the printer. Make sure the green arrow fits securely on the rail before proceeding to the next step. If you do not attach the green arrow of the photo conductor unit securely to the rail, you may damage the photo conductor unit. Push the front of the photo conductor unit slowly, sliding the unit on the cover and into the machine until it stops.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

SOURCE: Error message says reset PCU correctly

You get this message because the PCU isn't seated properly. This is a link for the user manual for this printer: http://www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/manuals/printers/cl2000.pdf On page 13 shows a diagram that indicates the photoconductor unit on the printer. Page 60 shows you different error messages, what they mean and how to fix it. It means you have to take out the pcu and reseat it into the printer, it is not in correctly. Page 29 shows you how to do this. It has pictures of how to take out the pcu and put it in correctly. I hope you get it fixed.

How to reset SC 302 code ?

sc302 is usually PCU or charge roller.
As you say you have recently replaced the Drum/PCU, is the drum turning correctly?

Check charge connectors and connectors on the back of the pcu. To reset that code, simply turn main power off and on again. If problem comes right back....the machine detects the cause still exists. May be an issue with the HVT.

HOW DO YOU RESET THE PCU ON RICOH CL3500N

I had the same issue with my CL3500N. I kept taking out and reinserting the color PCU with the same resulting error. However, I fixed my problem. My color PCU is now reset and printing
Instructions on how I fixed the issue:
1) Turn off the printer and remove the color PCU from the printer
2) Look inside the printer where you removed the color PCU and you will notice three attach points (gears) that each of the three color PCU rollers connect to the printer.
3) Notice that each roller inside the printer has an arrow stamped in metal pointing toward it. On my printer, one at approximately the 2 o'clock position, 9 o'clock position and 3 o'clock position.
4) On the color PCU look at the end of unit that you insert into the printer. Notice the white female connectors on each of three rollers. Look closely and you will see that there are notches inside each connector (gears). One of those notches is longer than the others.
5) For each roller insert your finger into the white connector (gear) to rotate the roller so the long notch aligns with the arrow inside the printer. Be careful not to touch the photo sensitive area of the roller.
6) Insert the color PCU into the printer and turn it on. May need trial and error to align the notch correctly, but it certainly worked for me.

How to reset pcu correctly

Cant remember if these models use the rebuildable pcus or not.
If it does:
change the developer / blade / charge roller/brush and drum if needed then run the TD initilization .
If copy quality is good then you can run td ini without changing those parts and just replace them at failure.

If it doent:
Change the whole pcu
it will reset itself
or if copy quality is good run the td ini and the message will clear.

ACULASER CX11NF Photoconductor reset - chip?

The reset chip will not provide you with a long term solution to your problem. The photoconductor unit is now full of waste toner and the photoconductive drum, prime charge roller and wiper blade are all worn, this is the cause of the message. Your only real and the correct solution is to replace the Photoconductor unit with a new one. Remember that this is part of the consumable set for this printer and is therefor costed in as part of the cost per page.
Should you proceed with the replacement chip, you will be opening yourself to deminishing quality print and eventual failure of the unit.
