Hello
The Minolta AF lens will fit and work on most of the Minolta AF bodies (it will depend on exactly what lens it is as to the compatibility), you will also find that it will fit and work with the new range of Sony
digital SLR camera bodies.

The Quantaray lenses are a little bit more difficult as Quantaray make lenses for several different types of camera body, it should mention on the lens what make the lens mount is for. If you post further information about the lenses it might help.

SOURCE: cameras compatible with Quantaray AF 70-300mm lens

Depending on how new your Minolta SLR film camera was, the lens may or may not work on a Minolta Digital SLR. In many cases, a lens with the correct mount (in this case, a Minolta mount) can be used on the same brand of camera in the digital format.

One thing you should know is that DSLR sensors are, generally speaking, smaller than the size of a 35mm film negative. Long story short, that means that your lens will have a magnification factor on the DSLR. Usually, it is in the range of 150%, so a 70-300 lens from a film camera would cover 105 to 450 on a Digital SLR.

To be sure about the mount, you'll need to seek advice specific to Minoltas -- probably best to take your lens to a local camera shop and see for sure if it fits and what features will work (aperature, auto-focus, etc) and which won't work on the DSLR.

SOURCE: Will my quantaray tech-10 NF AF zoom lens (for me

Yes, with caveats. The autofocus won't work on D40/D60/D3000/D5000. The metering may not work in all modes on all cameras. Since you didn't specify which camera, I can't give you a better answer than that.

I have 30-year-old Nikon lenses working fine on my D90, but without metering. And the old lenses date before the invention of autofocus.

I recently obtained a used Quantaray for Nikon 500mm f8 f/8 Mirror lens. I have a Nikon d3000 and I am not sure how to attach it to my camera.

For Nikon AF and manual focus SLRs. The compatible T Mount System makes it possible to use most any single lens reflex camera in combination with various front camera attachments such as telescopes, mirror lenses and slide duplicators. The T Mount is a metal connector that screws onto the compatible front attachment and allows this combination to be coupled to the SLR camera lens mount.

Is Quantaray NF AF work with Nikon D3000

Quantaray lenses are available with a variety of mounts. Assuming you get one with a Nikon mount, then yes, it will work with a Nikon camera. However, unless the lens has a focusing motor, it will not autofocus on the D3000. Some Quantaray lenses have such a motor, some do not.

Can I use Quantaray AF 28-90mm f/3.5-5.6 in a NIKON D5100? Thanks.

Quantaray makes lenses with a variety of mounts for a variety of cameras. A lens with a Sony mount, for example, will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount, it will fit on the D5100. However, the D5100 requires the lens to have an autofocus motor. If the lens does not have such a motor then it will not autofocus. It will still work fine as a manual focus lens.

Quantaray 70 - 300mm for Minolta AF (25-166-4546)

Check you manual, but it should be no problem- Sony bought Konica Minolta to have the Minolta lens mount (and engineers). Your old lens doesn't have all the internal electronics (and connections) of the new lenses, but every old minolta AF lens i've tried works fine with alpha

I have an old Minolta 5000Af with a quantaray 70-300 af lens on it. Is there anything to make this compatible with the new nikon d90?

In a word, no. If the Quantaray lens fits on the Minolta, then it has a Minolta mount. A lens requires a Nikon mount to fit on a Nikon D90. The two mounts are not interchangeable.

Now, if it was an ancient Quataray manual-focus lens with a T-mount adapter, then all you would need is a Nikon T-mount adapter to replace the Minolta T-mount adapter...

What type of lens works with this Nikon N8008s AF 35mm SLR? Thank you, Larry

Any of the Nikon Auto Focus(AF) lenses should work fine with it. There are also a number of fine aftermarket lenses made for your 8008, by Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Quantaray and others. Be sure you get the Nikon AF lenses, as they make the same lenses for Sony and Canon. You cannot use the Lenses made for another brand, as they will not fit, work right, and can damage your Nikon.

Lens

Quantaray is a private label lens made for Ritz Camera. They make this lens to fit several different camera brands including Nikon and Canon. The only ones that will fit a Canon camera body are the ones with the Canon EOS mount. If your Quantaray lens doesn't have an EOS mount, then it won't work on your Canon camera. You can take the lens to any Ritz Camera location and they can help determine which mount it has, and which cameras it will fit.
