After a thousand pages or so the color print becomes blurred... The black print is OK when there are no colors on the page, when there are colors on the page, even the black print is blurred... Anybody has any ideas? Thank you!

You can't use any other brand of color toner to refill the AF1232, you'll have all kinds of issues. They do have compatible toners (generic) for that model but highly recommend OEM.

Transfer belt mark detection error
• The main motor is operating; and
the lock signal is detected. → The
belt mark sensor signal does not
change for 120 milliseconds.
• Defective main motor
• Image transfer belt out of position
• Belt mark blurred or absent

I would remove the pcu unit (3 screws)and check the transfer assy belt mark and clean the sensor that reads the belt mark. Worst case senerio is replaceing the entire pcu unit.

Error code sc481 for ricoh copier 1232c
This is a "Transfer belt mark detection error" This means the transfer-belt in the PCU is torn or separated where it has a mark that flags a sensor telling the machine where the belt position is, The fix is to replace the entire PCU. 4 Screws that have arrows pointing to them surround the unit facing you when you open the front door will release the unit allowing you to insert a new unit and the code should go away ,, good luck!

SC 481 is a belt mark detection error. The transfer belt on the photoconductor unit has a rip in it. Replace the Photoconductor unit.
