Spots developing on picture

If you are seeing white dots on the screen, that indicates the DMD chip has failed. Samsung will cover the cost to repair this problem if you call 1-800-samsung.

Own a Samsung DLP TV 42 inch and white dots have

The random whit dots you are seeing is more than not the DMD or million little mirrors board. The white spots represent some of the mirrors that are sticking in the on position. In that case they are always reflecting white light from the lamp. I don't concider the DMD board a do it yourself repair since on the older DLP set it requires mechanical alignment as well. The best thing to do is contact a techincian and see what they might charge to repair the TV for you. Please take a few moments to rate my answer...Thanks..

Have white dots on screen. model HL-S4266W

it seems like you might have an issue with your dmd board. Go to the tv menu and if the dots also show there, the issue is with the dmd board, but if they don't, it's with the video board

Samsung dlp tv hl-s4266w has white spots on it? How much to fix?

Are they spots or dots? If they are spots then the optics are contaminates. If they are dots either white or black then you have a bad DMD chip. The cost of repair depends on who you hire to repair the set or if you do it yourself it depands who you purcahse the part from.

Samsung DLP Projection Tv white dots may caused by DLP Chip. Change a new DMD Chip 19106143W. The post show you how to replace it step by step.

Samsung DLP HL-S4266W White dot problem

Its the DLP IC chip itself that is bad. The DMD board is where the chip resides but if you order a board, it will come without the chip. Its not cheap and the replacement is tricky because the DMD board must be removed and then an alignment of picture centering will be necessary.
