Intervideo WinDVD 5 for PC Logo

Hi, My Sony Vaio DVD Windows Vista computer will play some DVDs without difficulty, others it refuses to play at all, and on others, it will play all of the movie except for five minutes in the middle. When it refuses to play a DVD, it makes a loud rattling noise, and the screen turns gray. It continues to do this until the disc is taken out. Sometimes an error message sign comes up saying the copyright is wrong, and other times no sign comes up. On DVD seasons for TV shows, it will sometimes play all the discs in the season but one. Once in a while, it will do this with a CD, though not often; and some CDs it doesnt even recognize and says no disc. Please help!

Having a problem getting my Sony Vaio PCG-3E2L laptop to auto play my photo DVD slide show. Using Windows Vista Home Premium OS.Also, where can I find a PDF Sony User Manaul for my laptop?

A quick short cut is to open a browser if you use Internet Explorer and select tools menu, then select Internet options. When the box opens then select the advanced tab and scroll down until you see a check box under security and check allow active content from CD to run on my computer.

Also here is the link for your manual: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/index.pl

My Sony Vaio FR-130 will read cds and will read DVDs that are not copyrighted but will not play dvd's that are copyrighted.

Try reloading the DVD drivers...If you don't have them on cd, you can download drivers from sony website. once you download drivers, reboot comp. see if that works...let me know.

good luck
