That type of changer has an RCA cord from head unit to changer, try to check if one is not connected,if both are connected, try to interchange the red and white RCA plugs ( the left & right signals) if the left channel will work, you must repair or replace the cord.

Left speaker in lancer not working

test the speaker.
connect a 1.5vdc battery to it, (yes, unplugged)
does click? then its good enough to make noise.
use a test speaker at the connector, that works.?
if not the radio is bad or the wire are cut.
to prove that, connect a speaker directly to the radio left pin.
works , good radio.
i cut the line at the radio as soon as the speaker tests good
because grounded out (shorted) lines blow radio amps to smithereens.
can pull the radio first. then bench test it.
its super easy with one test speaker . and a 12v power source.
but be careful many radios brick (shows, enter code) if you pull it.

get your radio code first and this solves this issue.
many radios kill audio only bricked, left and right channels.
but tunes ok .

No TX/ rx Radio Shack TRC-495

it probably jumped freq. somehow. There is now manual or anything but a picture of this radio and a few tune up rv's but thats it.I have the exact same radio and it works fine If you can put it on an oscilloscope it should tell you right away what the problem is. Then try a frequency counter.

No trasnsmission coming out of the speaker on one. 1 works ok and the other one doesn't

I don't know if the smaller ones like what you have operate the same as my 2 watt motorolas but I have a sub frequency on top of the channel. Check into that.

Purchased a midland 75 785 from u s will it work on u k channels

  • For 11 meter (CB) the standard 40 channels will be the exactly same as the "EU" set of frequencies (channels). However the "UK" 11 meter (40 channels) and the U.S.A. 40 11 meter (40channels CB) will not work together at all. This includes any actual Citizen Band radio, excluding Export 10 an 12 meter radios often labeled as "CB'S" which they are not.

  • Hope this helps.

My cb cobra 29 ltd problem is channel 1 is ok but channel 2 not receive

Did you have someone get on channel 2 to see??? Maybe channel 2 was quiet and channel one had better receive or noise.. You never know until you check it with another radio. That is NOT a common issue at all on those radios. Better off doing that test.

Can't change channel of a Motorola Visar Handie-Talkie FM Radio Model: H05RDD9AA4DN It seems that this radio operates in only one channel and I need to be able to chanmge channels. However everything else...

The Visar has a channel lock feature. If you hold down the two channel buttons at the same time, it will do one of two things depending on the settings. Either the channel will lock, or the channel numbers in the LCD will flip.
If you press the channel button and the "popples" "pop" (for lack of a better word) then the channel selection buttons re most likely OK. To fix it you just press both channel buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds. It will beep and you should be able to change the channels. If not, then it needs to be repaired.

My superstar 3900 transmits on one channel and receives on one ch

Ok! well i deffinitally know what the problem is. You need to play with the clarifier, i think all the way to the left is a "course and fine tune" knob. This is generally for use when talking on SSB. but may affect AM if its way off.

The clarifier lets you slide on the freq. some radios will go a full channel some will only go a little or above the center of the channel. You need to play with the clarifier, you probably need to turn the course a lot, untill the audio is almost clear on the channel you want to talk on, than use the fine to tune it in so it sounds like they are sitting right next to you.

what you should do is buy a Frequency counter, you got a nice radio, so the freq. counter wouldent hurt. lets say you want to be on channel 19. you would turn the clarifiers untill i read 27.1850 That would put you right on the money
