This printer is connected to 1 pc via usb and prints via the network from pc 2 and 3.it suddenly stopped printing from pc no 3 but still prints from pc 2

Hello,
If the printer is printing from pc1 that means the usb port is ok. If prints from pc2 that means the network port is ok, so the problem is not in the printer but in PC3. Check connection of pc3 to the network, check the settings, check recently installed programs - especially firewall or new antivirus version. Scan for viruses - there are some blocking traffic. You can even turn the pc3 back in time using the system restore service.
Hope this helps.

Restaurant Pro Express - Shared Printer - wierd scenario

Delete printer from PC it is not connected to(PC2). Make sure you can print a test page in windows from PC it is connected to(PC1). Then check on sharing. Make sure the share name is the same as what 3rd PC is looking for(PC3). Print to printer from PC3. On PC2, set up and install as a network printer. If all PCs can print to kitchen printer from windows, then you should not have to make any changes in RPE.
Also, if you cloned everything including the RPE folders, you may not be syncing properly. Check by changing the price of something and saving. It should change on the other stations also. Make this test from each station.

I can't switch to one of my boxes.

1) Make sure your connection to pc3 is good, take out and reconnect both ends.

2) If that has no effect power down the switch for 30 seconds then switch back on.

3) If that has no effect, connect pc3 to the pc2 slot. If PC3 now works, you've got a problem with the switch. If pc3 still doesn's work, its a problem with the pc3 lan connection. You'll need to check "Network connections" in your control panel.

2 Eth Cards one for Internet & one for LAN

First of all, I would really recommend you to buy a Cable/DSL router. It is quite cheap, usualy more secure, much easier to configure and troubleshoot. Also, it does not require to have one PC up and running all the time, hense saving energy. Do you know that a PC running 24/7 may cost between 60$ and 100$ in electricity annually? This is more than the cost of a basic router!

But, since your question is about sharing your Internet connection with a PC, here are some guidelines. I will assume here that you are using Windows XP.

On PC1:
1. Connect the modem to Eth0 in the PC. Do not connect anything in the USB port of the modem.
2. Make sure that the link lights are lit both side. If they are not, you may need a cross-over cable (this is usualy not the case)
3. Configure Eth0 to get IP address DNS automatically
4. Disable (uncheck) all protocols except TCP/IP on Eth0.
5. Run the Network Setup Wizard (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network Setup Wizard) and follow the steps.

On PC2:
Simply run the Network Setup Wizard (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network Setup Wizard) and follow the steps. Specify and you Internet connection is through a Home or LAN network.

That should do it.

Ef3116 has different up and down speed.

PC1 may have a defective NIC card. Also, verify that PC1's NIC card is using an up-to-date driver and that it's interface speed and duplex settings are set to auto-negotiate.
