Water coming out of the bottom of the machine

Sometimes, what may seem like a washing machine leaking from bottom locations is actually one that leaks slowly from other spots. Slow leaks can accumulate beneath your washing machine making it seem like you have a bottom leak. For more help identifying the exact point of the leak, see Washing machine leaking.

Bottom leaks may be better identified using a newspaper. Just dry the floor and lay the newspaper beneath the washing machine before you test for leaks. Darkened sections map out your water leak. This method is not always foolproof, however. The best diagnosis will come from a qualified service professional inspecting your machine.

If your washing machine is leaking from bottom in the rear, you may need a replacement pump and professional installation. The leak could also be caused by a faulty air dome seal or a hole in the tub. For more troubleshooting steps to tackle that leak, see Washing machine leaking from bottom. I hope that helps!

I have a Miele W4840 front load washer and there is water leaking from the door. I've checked the seal and it doesn't seem to be damaged, but there is a definite leak. Please advise.

first make sure your detergent drawer is not popping open. water will run out from beneath the drawer, run over to the top of the door, run down the door, and then straight down to the floor. If you are not leaking out of the detergent drawer, the next thing down is the bottom of the glass door. look at the glass where it contacts the door seal at the bottom. It should be clean and smooth. Most likely you will find lint, hair, and soap residue. that needs to be cleaned off. any surface imperfections will cause a slow drip or trickle of water to come out of the lowest part of the door. If that is fine, and it is still leaking, open the cover to the drain pump on the bottom right of the front of the machine. Make sure that drain pump filter is tight. run the machine with that little drain access door open and see if you are leaking from there. If none of the above helps, and you are still getting water leaking from the door, miele has designed a new clamping ring for the door seal. Call them and make arrangements to have it replaced.

Washer leaks out the bottom in rear of machine

Thank you for using FixYa. Does water leak out of the machine from the beggining of the cycle to the end? If it only leaks when spinning or Pumping out water and water comes from the rear bottom of the machine? This is where the drain pump is located and I would say that the leak is coming from there---either a perished hose or a loose retaining clip.

There ia a leak from the bottom of the machine, what should we do?

if it is from the middle front most likely is a faulty water pump. you need to remove the cabinet, yes, the washer cabinet to expose the inner workings and at the front bottom in the middle you will see a almost round white plastic piece. that is the water pump. replace it. get some towels for the water. good luck to you.

Kenmore 80 series washer leaking water from middle of bottom

Greeings,
if its coming from front middle..its most likely a water pump as thats where its located..
The best thing to do is remove the front off of the machine,,or raise up and lean over the washer and
look at pump...usually, they will have a sign of leaking...its easy to remove. it has two clips that hold the pump on..

It is leaking on the bottom when I do laundry. The hoses are fine. The water seems to be around the edges on the bottom of the washing machine. The machine is only 5 1/2 years old.

if you look at the front inside panel and the side panels nd if you see like black spots half way up the panel you have bad tub seals and that's what it sounds like you have.the tubs have to be separated and the middle seal has to be changed out.you need special tools to do this job.might be better replacing the washer if it's the problem.fill it with water, run it and look at the tranny part coming out the middle of the tub on the bottom of the tub,let it agitate and put it in spin,if you see water leaking out the middle of the tub it's the tub seal

Leak in washing machine

can you tell where the water is hitting the belt from is it in the middle of the wash tub or from the outside of the wash tub please let me know if its from the middle of the tub its probably the seal that keeps the agitator from leaking, and if its from the side the in lines from the water spicket or the valve that controls hot and cold in the machine could be leaking, please look closely and try to see where the wateris dripping down from. thank you, then let me know
