Have a maytag mah5500bww replaced door lock still do and fl code

Have a maytag mah5500bww replaced door lock still do and fl comes up acts like it trys to lock clicks three times. it will run water in it but the door is not locked. what does the problem seem to be?

i checked all this still wont work. where is the fill valve and how to replace.

PUT IN SERVICE MODE TRIED BOARD OUT PUT TEST HAD TO MANUALLY LOCK DOOR BUT IT WOULD UNLOCK ALRIGHT.

Fl is usally a water not detected problem,, check ur fill hoses for kinks make sure ur water is on,, possibly have a bad fill valve..

Sometimes you can bypass the lock although it is not recommended. You should be able to get the lock in 2 days.

My machine is showing the code FL machine has problems locking. How do I resolve this problem

Your Maytag Neptune Washing Machine displays error codes, also called "help codes," to identify specific problems with your washer. Once you close your Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished. Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.
Door lock monitor switch in door lock mechanism unable to communicate to control board the door is locked.
1.Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to door lock mechanism.2.Check solenoid and door lock enable switch in door lock mechanism.
3.Replace responsible component.

on your model all wax motor door latch's have to be replaced,go to repair clinic .com and you can order the part or go to ebay,and put in maytag neptune mah5500bww wax motor and it will come up and the guy selling the motors has pictures on how to install,let me know-mike

FL fault code means door failed to lock. Could be misalignment between the lid and the locking mechanism. Try the service mode and see if you can get the door to lock. Otherwise you may need to replace the lock itself.
