Same problem, it's a real pain in the butt. 450$ I think I paid for a "top of the line" and for a year it's sat on a shelf.

this works for Dell monitors with a similar problem: shut down, turn off monitor and pc, turn off at wall socket, and remove power plugs from wall socket. wait about 30 seconds. plug back in, turn on, and all should be well? I have used this 3 times on a Dell PC with a Viewsonic monitor.
Hi,
You probably have a fault on your inverter board which will prevent the backlights from turning on and illuminating the screen. If you are lucky it may only be 1 or 2 blown capacitors which are easy to replace.
Remove the second monitor entry in Device Manager, and let the machine try to find the driver. I swear, sometimes, computers have minds of their own! ??
I am using this great LCD for about an year. But few times in the past my LCD didnt show up the display though the Green light was still ON, turning off the LCD and opening it again always solved the problem. But now My LCD completely went blank. Turning off/on didnt work at all now. I've tried couple of other tweaks mentioned on this site but they didnt work. I am just seeing a blank screen with green light ON. and ya theres a very low hissing sound coming from the LCD.
Hi; I had the same problem. I know that sometimes devices require you to perform some type of '10-30 second' "hold" of one or some of its buttons in order to 'reset' the device, so to speak. So, having said that, try this:
1) Turn your monitor off (no green light) but leave it plugged in. 2) Leave it off for about 10 seconds. 3) Hold the [2] button on your monitor (the one to the immediate LEFT of your monitor's POWER button). 4) While holding the [2] button, now press and HOLD your POWER button. 5) Wait for your image to appear and STAY onscreen for about 5 seconds, then release both buttons. 6) Your monitor should retain its onscreen image.
