I can't unset the child safety lock on my diplomat ceramic hob
There is a sequence of buttons to press to unlock the child lock on my ceramic hob. But of the dozens of appliance manuals in our house, we can't find the manual for the ceramic hob.

For the Candy CH642B cooktop: LOCKING BUTTON OPERATION The locking function prevents the children from starting the hob. It is also used for cleaning the control strip as the controls can be locked without the hob being on. To lock the hob : - Press the on/off button - Press simultaneously " - " button and " + " button of the front right zone (CH 633 front left zone), and then press again on the " + " button of this zone. When the hob is locked, the locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones for 20 seconds.
To unlock the hob : - Press the on/off button. The locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones. - Press simultaneously the " - " button and the " + " button of the front right zone (CH 633 front left zone), and then press again on the " - " button of this zone. The hob is unlocked.
l means locked hold two left buttons at same time or the two right buttons or the bottom two buttons or top two buttons should solve your problem you have to do it prety quick or the computer thinks a child is trying to turn on the appliance
Had the same problem, manual says switch on and press + and - buttons at same time then press - to cancel child lock. Kept trying but no luck. Tried same thing with a pan on the hob that I was pressing + key and it worked.
If the KEY lock is on (key botton flashes when switched on) ... touch AND HOLD the lock symbol for AT LEAST TWO seconds until it beeps, then hold the on/off button for AT LEAST 2 SECS.
If the CHILD lock is on ([L] on all displays when switched on), then:
1)Hold the on switch for TWO secs min (unit swtiches on) ...then
2) touch AND HOLD the + AND - for AT LEAST 2 secs
3) touch the - button once again.
I have a Neff T4344N0/08. I cannot stop all four hobs flashing - ie: I press the 'on' button all four flash, I then choose which one I want to use plus the number but they all keep flashing instead of stopping after the usual three or four. Please help - have I pressed something I shouldn't, perhaps a child lock?
gud day,not all models of ceramic hob have a child lock, check it 1st ur unit if have it,if we have, touch the circle w/sign of key to lock the ceramic for ur child,to unlock touch again.u see the ligth red is on it means the lock is in ON.easy to unlock even ur child by touching the key sign, for ur safety to not use ur unit, unplug the unit if it not use.
Got the same problem, and remembered I've kept the manual book
L means locked. I dont know how Ive managed to do this as well
Anyway it says:
Cancelling the key lock After switching ON the control the child safety feature can be deactivated. Here it is necessary to simultaneously operate the front right cooking-zone-select-key and the MINUS-key and then operate the MINUS-key alone. If all steps hae been carried out in the right order within 10seconds the key lock gets cancelled and the control is OFF. Otherwise the input will be considered incomplete, the control remains locked and switches-OFF after 20 seconds.
After a renewed switching-ON/OFF key all displays show 0", the display dots are blinking and the control is ready for ooking. If a cooking zone is "hot", "H" will be displayed instead of the static 0".
Followed their instructions & still not worked. ,I am still confused and baffled after these instructions........................
